He looked at her through his thick hair, their eyes meeting briefly before he gave a shy smirk, "always." He said simply, his words at a minimum, yet his eyes saying he understood something he saw in her face

When taking seats for breakfast, Eva sat between Adrian and Issac unintentionally. Bobby was still across from her beside Thomas. And Oscar was on the other side of Issac.
Thomas looked around at the table and gave out a slight scoff. "You all look like a bunch of zombies, I recommend going to bed earlier tonight." He said coldly.

Adrian muttered something along the lines of "eh f*ck off," before taking a bite of his breakfast, not scared of Thomas without they're parents there to scold him. Bobby started eating after taking his brothers lead and sticking his tongue out at the eldest, while Isaac remained quiet and Oscar rolled his eyes. It was clear that Thomas didn't have all the athority he expected to get.

Thomas rolled his eyes and ignored all their disregard for his demands. Eva quietly nibbled at her food while pushing it around her plate. She didn't feel hungry but she didn't want to raise any attention.

Isaac seemed to be the only one in tune with her moodiness, stealing glances now and then at her as he tried to understand what could be wrong, but of course, nothing was said. "Did you like the book?" He asked quietly, knowing she probably had finished it by now. It was nothing like the Vampire Diaries they had talked about, yet something had compelled him to leave it. The String of Pearls was his favorite book, and he had never shared it with anyone, now he was asking himself what made Eva special enough to leave it in her possession. His question was casual enough, but the reality was his gesture was an act of sticking his neck out for the first time in forever, and he hoped she wouldn't be upset by it.

"I did, thank you, you have an amazing literature taste. I needed that last night." She said giving him a soft but sincere smile.
"Issac you're sharing your personal literature with her? From your private bookshelf?" Thomas asked a little shocked.

Isaac only glared at him in response, though he was happy she had enjoyed the book. In fact, though he wouldn't admit it to himself, he was overjoyed that it had made her happier to some degree. Adrian had an odd expression under his hungover eyes, being the only one that knew, roughly, what was on her mind.

Eva rolled her eyes at the boys picking on each other. The normalacy of the morning was helping her ease out of her terror. She looked over at little bobby playing with his food. "So are his lessons still as scheduled or is there a different schedule I need to follow when Mr. And Mrs. Bentham are gone?" She asked making small talk and planning her day to keep an eye on all of them.

Eva laughed with bobby's older brothers. "Alright well I have a few things I need to take care of so I might not be right there on perfect timing to some of your lessons, will you be good and go to your next lesson and meet me there? I won't be happy if I have to play hide and seek before we make a wager on the game." She said mostly to bobby, but also somewhat to see if she would get permission. When Thomas didn't pay much mind to her request she focused on bobbys response.

Bobby snickered like he did not plan on getting to lessons on time, especially without his parents to discipline him.
"I'll make sure he goes," Said Oscar, "IF you'll tell me what you're 'taking care of'" He finished smugly with his devilish grin.
"Oscar." Adrian said, though the warning sounded less like a firm demand than a groaned complaint, while Isaac stared in annoyance at his replica.
"If you don't tell he'll probably just follow you, that's what he does," Bobby said, earning a very defensive 'No it isn't!'

Eva paused to think of what she could say without lying and without worrying anyways. "I have to go get my number changed and do some research for a class starting next week." She said finally

"I have an ex boyfriend who doesn't understand no. I can handle it though, everything is fine." She said hoping it would just sound like your average jerk who just keeps calling. She felt slightly pressured with everyone's attention on her and diverted her eyes to her plate and nervously pushed her food around.

"Leave her to her own problem Oscar, its none of our business." Thomas commanded not wanting them to get involved in stupid women's problems.

Oscar rolled his eyes at his brother again, saying nothing while he planned on following her anyways. Meanwhile, Adrian was rubbing his eyes in a hopeless attempt to get the hangover out of them, and Isaac was left to his own thoughts regarding the exchange

As they finished up breakfast, Eva got up to take bobby to play before his first lesson. "so what game do you want to play today?" she asked being as normal and nonchalant as she could. she didn't mind the distraction at all.
(sorry I'm having a pause of writers block atm. or until we get to the action of xavier)

Oscar seemed to appear from out of nowhere after a few minutes, doing his best to act casual with his fists in his jeans, "changing numbers can be a pain, you should go to the phone store and talk to them directly. We could go together." He said with a sly, flirty smile

Eva let out a sigh knowing he was right, changing her number was going to be a pain on here own, and honestly she didn't want to be alone out there in case Xavier showed up somewhere. "Fine Oscar, you win. " she said rolling her eyes a little at his flirty demeanor.

Eva managed to pull out of his grasp and just follow along behind him. She glanced at her phone here and there as her inbox got more and more full. Threats, promises, slander, you name it and it was being said to her. She did her best to delete all the messages before they got to town and put it on airplane mode to stop them from questioning her.

"I'm handling it, it would just be safer if you didn't get involved to." She said unintentionally using the wrong choice of words. They were getting closer to the phone store when Eva kept getting an uneasy feeling and kept looking over her shoulder and around her.
