He seemed to have his question ready when she asked, "you have to tell the truth... What was it you really saw in the alley earlier?"

Eva let out a soft sigh. "We should go somewhere else to talk about that..." She said not wanting to be where he knew she was. "Let's get some coffee, I'll sober up then..." Her expression and demeanor changed entirely. She was completely serious and a hint of fear reflected in her eyes.

His own eyes darkened at her expression and he leaned towards her slightly, still a little wobbly from the drink,
"Eva what's wrong." He asked, but it wasn't as much a question as a demand

"Remember that ex I told you about?..." She said hesitantly remembering his previous threats of slaughtering the whole family to bring her home. Her eyes welled up with tears slightly.

He put his hands on her shoulders, expression turning to anger, "yes?"

"He's here... He followed me.. He told me if I tell anyone that he would come in and.... slaughter everyone... I don't know what to do... I didn't know that he was capable of this...." She explained between sobs, terrified that he could be watching. She could help it anymore. She was the right amount of drunk and vulnerable to hit a breaking point.

His slight anger turned to full-blown rage at her words, made worse by alcohol, "where is he?" He demanded, "I'll kill the bastard, I will..." He growled

Eva shook her head with tears running down her face. "I don't know... I'm sorry." She said pulling herself together.

He looked around the bar, but didn't know what he was searching for, "just stay with me, okay?" He said, "he won't touch you."

(What kinda super powers does my boy have? Like super strength, speed, senses, ect.?)

Eva nodded. "We should try and act somewhat natural. Like you don't know. If he asks when he comes for me again... I'll say I got drunk and talked about my parents... " she said softly.
(Yes, super strength, speed, compulsion, and regenerative abilities. I'll give you a run down on the vampire characteristics I'm using.)

He still looked angry, but nodded, molding back into a drink teenager with nothing but booze in his mind, "what does he look like?" He asked

"Blonde hair, golden eyes. He's definition of a pretty boy so he would stand out in a crowd here.... He's a terrible person... But he's smart..." Eva cautioned as she unintentionally grab his had. It was cold, but in this moment, still comforting to her.

He looked down at their hands in confusion, but didn't release hers, "I'll be okay. Do you want to leave?"

She nodded her head no longer feeling the bar atmosphere. "I'm sorry..." Is all she could get herself to mutter. Her entire being went numb and was simply running on autopilot.

He squeezed her hand gently, "Don't be sorry." He said, pulling her to the exit, "This way. Let's go home, and don't leave without one of us with you, okay?"

Eva nodded her head in understanding. She followed close behind him until they got back to the house.

He opened the door for her, trying to walk properly, though there was a slight stagger in his step as they came into the living room

Thomas sat in the livingroom waiting for the two to return on behalf of their parents. He was about to inform them of their sudden leave of absence, and lecture them for coming home so late, when he noticed his brothers defensive stature and the fear and guilt in Eva's eyes. "What happened?" Was all he said to them. His voice was velvety and elegant, but still held athourity to it.

Eva looked up in a shocked panic at Thomas's sudden burst getting her attention when the entered the large home. The rest of the house seemed to be asleep to her.

Adrian glared at him as best he could with glossed over eyes, "we went out, as per father's request." He said simply, beginning to stalk off to the stairs

"Mother and father have told me to inform you both that they will be away for a months time. " Thomas said almost smuggly. He gave Adrian an accusing look but decided to leave it until later.
Eva stayed quiet and kept her eyes on the ground, this time she let go of his hand and held them close to herself. She followed Adrian through the house.

Adrian led her upstairs, pausing at her door, "Will you be okay for tonight?" He asked, not sure what he would do if she said no. Maybe send her to Isaac...

She hesitantly shook her head. "I'll be OK... We have to act normal remember?" She said softly not wanting to be left all alone deep down. But she wasn't about to rope him in more than he already was.

His eyes scanned around the hallway, "I don't believe anyone is spying on us..." He said, but started turning away anyways, "Sleep well, Eva..." He said, opening his door

"You too.." She said softly walking into her room slowly. She looked around after flipping on the light to make sure it was empty. She could feel her heart racing with fear and anticipation as she approached her closet door. She swung the door open, emptiness. Just clothes and shoes barely filling its walls. She sat on her bed and pulled her phone out again. 3 text messages from Xavier.
'Naughty naught'
'Loose lips never did suit you love '
'I'll kill him last, so you can watch ❤'
Eva threw her phone off of her bed and from the floor it lit up once more.
'Sleep well tonight, don't worry, the whole family needs to be home.' It read.
Eva wanted to fall to pieces, to give up. She grabbed her phone and shakily began to type back.
'What do you want from me? I'll give you anything if you leave the family alone.' She had typed up but hesitated to hit send. She didn't want anyone else to get hurt but she was scared.

On her nightstand was a book she hadn't had before. It looked fairly worn and was typed in an old English form, as though from the same period as Shakespear. The title was called "the string of pearls," a corny romance story told in the midst of a gruesome plot, that would later be changed and adapted to create the movie well known to modern humans as 'Sweeney Todd'.

(Seriously read the book, it was my jam lol)

Eva set down her phone after saving the message as a draft. She picked up the book and flipped it open after she looked it over. She could think of one person who would've left that their. It brought a smile to her face.

The house was quiet for the rest of the night, allowing crickets to be heard from outside the window

That following morning when Eva's alarm went off she nearly fell out of her bed. She was so on edge that she hardly slept. She grogily got up and get ready for the day. When she walked into her closet a note was hanging on the back of the door.
'Should've checked under the bed.'
It said she turned quickly on her heels and looked under the bed where a single rose laid. She grabbed it and threw it in her trash after changing into her clothes for the day. She wore her dark denim jeans, a white t shirt, and black heels. She wore her hair down in loose waves and makeup to cover her dark circles.

Isaac came out of his bedroom at the same time Eva did and walked downstairs next to her, not saying a word, though he had his own bags under his eyes

Before they got down stairs she gave him a soft smile. "Up late reading again?" She said in a tender and almost fragile voice. She was doing her best to go on as if nothing happened but part of her felt weak. She felt like she was made of glass that could shatter at any moment. She did her best to hide it though.
