He nodded, sighing. "Please try to be careful with her. She had a bit of an accident just a little over a year ago and since then she hasn't been quite herself. I bring her to the palace occasionally so she doesn't have to worry about anything and so she can relax."

The next day, the palace seemed eerily quiet. While the court ladies and servant girls had awakened to carry out their daily tasks and nothing had really changed in the palace, something seemed off. When Ashina awoke, she took note of this, instantly being on her guard.

Suddenly she was interuppted by the sounds of hurried footsteps and the sliding of her door. Lu Xu looked at them, out of breath and horrified. "Y-Yihua... The emperor... Is requesting that all staff of the palace report to the court yard. He has an important announcement to make."

As many of you know, her imperial highness Princess Taiping left the palace yesterday morning, going to her family home in Xin county. What many of you do not know, however, is why she left."
