Alex's temper was triggered now as he grabbed one of the vampires on him by the throat. "Now who said you could come inside?" He growled.

Mari could hear a loud thud followed by many more footsteps on the ground above.

The man grunted and jumped back as the other three helped control Alex.

"We are here for the girl." The tallest of the guards surrounding Raven and Luca said, feigning boldness "Let us take her and you will not be harmed."

"And who are you to try and order me?" She hissed back with venom. She stepped closer to him, causing his group to come closer to defend him "I am Ravina Luisa de Moretti, you should be fearful in my presence!"

His voice shook slightly but he remained steady, fighting his instinctual urge to cower "I have an order from the queen herself to take the girl, peacefully or with any amount of force necessary."

Luca began to growl, baring his fangs "Who do you think would win..."

"There are many more of us outside, listening." The man said quickly, but calmly, who knew if he was lying

A low snarl rippled through Alex's chest. "I don't care who ordered what, this is wolf territory, your jurisdiction is invalid here." He growled as his claws began to elongate and ears formed a point. Hair began to grow rapidly on his arms and chest while his eyes flared a vibrant yellow, like the moon.

Mari could hear the commotion upstairs. 'Maybe I can buy them some time and they can actually find her.. I just need some red contacts...' she thought to herself as she grabbed the girls blade and placed it on her person.

"Alex did you not hear the man." Raven said, frustrated "Just let them search for her and leave."

More men started searching through the rooms of the house, though unlike any other search party, they trekked through in complete silence

Alex punched the wall leaving a large hole. "You're just going to let them tread through my house? I could have the pack here in minutes." He muttered as he trembled with anger.

Mari had climbed into the cage and luckily found a pair of contacts Alex most likely used for under cover jobs. "I'm sorry Luca, but you need to be bought time." She whispered to herself.

"Last I heard you left all of your pack power in the dust along with your woman..." one of the guards from across the room sneered

Luca suddenly roared angrily and pinned a guard against the wall by the basement door he had gone to open, a line of scarlet painted the wall before anyone could stop him, then he was pounced on by 3 of the guards as the man slid to the floor, dead. Another quickly pulled the door open "She's down here!" he called

Mari awaited quietly for them to go down there and dismiss her has the vampire they were after.

"Leave them alone." Alex's voice was colder than its ever been and was riddled with blood lust and hatred. He couldn't stand control like this, always trying to keep people apart.

The guards quickly ran down the steps apart from the ones keeping the enraged Luca. The first guard opened the door and seized Mari by her arm, looking at her face with his bright yellow ones set deep in his dark face.

"See? It's only a human, the girl isn't here..." Raven started from the top step before the man yanked her out harshly.

"You are being taken by the Moretti Dynasty as a prisoner by force, do not fight or your punishment will be heightened accordingly."

Mari nodded her head and kept her eyes down low. "It's alright, I'll go willingly." She said softly. They may be fooled for now, but she knew they only had a short time before they would figure out she's a fake. Hopefully they would find Lana before it was too late.

Raven grunted "That is not the girl! She's human you idiot!"

Mari looked up at Raven with the red contacts in. "I'm sorry. It'll be OK I promise." She said in a soft voice hoping it reached her ears.

'What are you doing?!' Raven wanted to scream as she looked at her "Look, just-"

But the man didn't stop, he shoved her up the steps and through the door, clenching his hand tight enough around her arm to leave a mark. Luca's growls came from under the men more fierce than they had ever been before "So help me... I will kill every last one of you..." He hissed "I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!"

The men loaded her into a van that was parked across the street. "Targets been acquired, load up." A man yelled. The other men released Luca cautiously but not before knocking him out with the butt of a gun to his temple. A man with white hair and an arrogant smirk turned to Raven. "I hope we don't have any further problems after this, just forget the girl ever existed and go on about your lives." He said in a smug tone.

Raven's hand shot out with the speed of lightning as she curled her fingers around his throat, slamming him into the wall with enough force his feet came off of the floor. She leaned in so their noses almost touched as he gasped for air "The last time my family was harmed by the Morettis..." She whispered in her most terrifying voice as her eyes pierced through his soul "the entire palace became strewn with the blood of every guard in Italy." Then she released him and turned briskly, her long hair shifting harshly with her movements, seeming to take on her anger in itself

(Yeah actually they're flying to Italy so let's do when they arrive lol)

The trip to Italy seemed much slower this time, probably because the process was much less pleasant with her arms tied tightly behind her back and guards practically on top of her 24/7. They finally found themselves at the front of the grand Moretti's palace and the guards lead her inside, "Take her to see the Queen." The one Mari had learned was the commander ordered.

As two of them began dragging her towards the throne room's grand doors, Annabelle came out through them with a sad expression on her childish face, which turned to surprise when she saw the people in front of her "M-Mari...?"

Mari gave Annabelle a look that said not to say anymore. "You must have me confused, I'm Lana." Mari said before one of the soldiers struck her across the face.

"Who permitted you to talk, and to the princess no less." The man said bitterly. Mari didn't even wince at the slap across her face.

Annabelle cleared her throat "you must be mistaken, what are her crimes?"

The other guard quickly bowed to her before answering "She is under arrest per the Queen's orders, any further explanation cannot be given, miss."

Maris eyes pleaded for help while her face remained emotionless as stone.

"Now that lover boys awake, where would they take your insane little human, by the way, she's got guts, but she's definitely reckless. I think we need to find Lana and make a trade." Alex suggested now that his temper was resolved a bit and a few new holes had been added to the walls.

"They'll realize the mistake and let her go, my mother has no use for Mari, nor a reason to keep her captive."

Luca had been pacing since he woke up, angry and ready to explode "What are we waiting for we need to go get her." He demanded, too quiet for what he was thinking

The guards pushed Mari along into the throne room, which was set up with a large throne in the middle of the far wall, rasied up high above the “audience” seats. It was set originally for a king, with a smaller throne to the sde of it for the queen to sit, but now Larissa was the one in the grand seat. She squinted at Mari when they brought her in, her chisled face making everyone in the room tense, even her court officials that sat in the front row. It was apparent that she was thinning but, like her daughter, her face remained cold on the outsie.

"You don't think they'll turn her into a bargaining chip?" Alex asked.

Mari looked up at the Larissa with an unfazed face. She knew better than to speak, but her own stubbornness wouldn't allow her to play out to be a cowering pawn in her eyes.

Luca growled again but kept pacing. Raven pursed her lips “if we do not know where the girl is then it wouldn’t make sense... but Larissa has never made much sense...”

Larissa waited a few moments before speaking, her eyes studying Mari intently “why were your eyes yellow before, child?”

"Well she's important to Lucas so she might try and use him to get his hands on Lana so he can get Mari back. It's not a bad strategy, but on Maris end, she on the inside and if she can get loose, then maybe, just maybe she can flip things around and get out without us even having to try and retrieve Lana." Alex said leaning against a wall with his eyes closed.

Mari thought a minute before answering. "You're losing touch with modern resources, eye color is as easy to change as your shirt is. Not that my eye color matters." Mari half assed answered.

Luca cut in, speaking to Raven "I'll kill your mother if Mari is harmed in this."

"And I'll help you." She answered plainly before standing and heading towards the door "But nothing is happening if we sit here. Let's go."


Larissa gave a short laugh before barking "Fabio!"

The commander of the guards came through the door quickly and gave a deep bow "Your majesty?"

She sighed "You have disappointed me, bringing this girl who very obviously is not my kin..." She glared at him "Take her to the guillotine."

Mari stood. "You'll be making a mistake if you kill me, especially if you are after Lana." Mari said giving the queen a 'check mate grin'.

"Alright, we better get to an airport then. You two go on ahead, I'm going to find the vampire hybrid girl and meet you there." Alex said throwing the keys to his car to Raven.

"You're telling me you have knowledge of the girl?" she said with a smirk before turning to the guard "interrogation (torture), then."

The guards roughly grabbed Mari up and dragged her away, leading her through the palace and into a prison area of the basement. They walked on wet concrete floors covered in mold and passed many empty, dark metal cells. The place had a sharp metallic scent overriding the smell of mildew. Every few cells they would see a person huddled on the floor in varrying states of health. Finally one of the guards creaked open one of the cell doors and threw her inside the cramped space with only a small pile of hay in the corner. After they left, she heard a voice, “dinner will be in an hour, the interrogator will be here by morning.” It prison keeper speaking in a gruff voice to her from some place she couldnt see.

"Please hurry Luca..." she muttered softly as she crawled over to the pile of hay. It was cold down there and she knew she had to keep herself warm so she didn't get sick.
