(I'll start)
It was a sunny day, it being early Autumn, and the air outside was only slightly chilly. Rachel was in her garden, wearing one of her many red dresses with a long sleeved white button up underneath it, humming to herself as she tended to the various plants and vegetables in her garden. Gardening was what she did when she wasn't practicing the religion of this particular cult village. She didn't necessarily believe in the religion, but she had inherited the building from her grandmother, who had lived in the home before the cult took the village over. It would be a shame to let such a family heirloom go to waste. She sighed, standing upright and stretching, wondering where her niece had gone off to today.

Cassandra had been walking home from morning prayers at their Church, reciting the newest verses their priestess had given them. She was behind the other girls in town, because unlike them, she wasnt born in the village. That wasn't to say she didn't believe in the scripture, she just hadn't begun lessons at the age of 4, as was custom.
She believed every word, or at least did her best to convince herself she did. It was the right way, and her straying feelings scared her, as she did not wish to enter eternal damnation, so she did her best to shove down any thoughts that were not proper. This included any skepticism about Angeles Diabolicus, or living a life outside of work and prayer, or, most importantly, the species called men.
She shook her head, making her red hair bounce, and cleared the thoughts in her mind, going back to the scripture that would help her gain access to heaven while she came into the garden.
"Hello, Aunt Rachel," she addressed her aunt with a sweet smile

Rachel brushed her dress off, never being one to wear the traditional dress of the cult: A forest green robe with an elaborate white bonnet that held all of the haor, excluding bangs, within it. The head priestess of the cult, Bella, often proclaimed her disappointment in Rachel for her improper dress, and Rachel knew she was a black sheep for it, but she was passed the point of caring.
She went over to her niece, giving her a tight hug and a cheerful smile. "Welcome home, Cassie. How was church today?"

"oh it was wonderful, we dove into the scripture about Angeles Diabolicus and how she saved her disciples from the temptation of taking on men," she said, knowing her aunt didn't believe in the ways of their village. The priestesses were very disappointed in the older woman, and made sure they worked Cass extra to keep her on the correct path regardless of her influence, while the girl prayed constantly that her Aunt would bring herself to the correct path.

"I'm glad. I know how much you always look forward to church." She patted her head, kissing her forehead lovingly. "You have an over abundance of faith, and you definitely get that from your mother." She began putting her gardening tools away. "Now what would you like for lunch?"

"anything you wish to prepare is fine, auntie, would you like help?"

"Oh no, that's not necessary." She giggled. "And you better be careful, you know if you give me the power to choose I'm going to make cucumber sandwiches, and I know how much you hate those."

She made a disgusted face but tried smiling through it, knowing it was best not to complain for what was provided, "If it is what you provide..." She said, though she prayed the woman would take pity on her

She laughed loudly, a laugh she was known for. "Don't worry, Cassie. I'll make some salmon for you."

She seemed to relax and smiled, "Thank you, auntie, I'll set the table while you prepare it."

"Good girl." She ruffled her hair playfully, going into the kitchen to start preparing the salmon. As she did so, she hummed a quiet song to herself, occasionally glancing out the window at the passersby.

Cassandra continued thinking over the lines she was required to have memorized by next week. This one was only four lines, very easy compared to most of them, but she still liked to get a head start on the memorization process. When the dinner was set she went to see if she could help Rachel, even though she had said it wasn't needed

Rachel finished the lunch quickly, bringing it over to the table and grinning proudly. "You know, when you first came to live with me all those years ago, when you were very little, I had been living as a bit of a bachelorette. I didn't ever cook unless it was easy and my cooking skills weren't up to par. Maybe that's why I never found a husband." She laughed again, "I burned so many things, and you spit out so many things. I'm glad I've learned since then, thanks for making me."

Cassandra's face flushed slightly at the word 'husband', for that was a word hardly uttered or thought about in this village. She did her best to ignore the thought and nodded, a pleasant smile on her face, "Yes, I am very lucky you've learned, at least my palate is," She teased with a giggle, beginning to clean up the dishes after eating a small portion.

Rachel ate a larger portion, never afraid to look like a pig for eating too much. "Are you sure that's all you want? There's plenty left."

"Oh no, I am fine," She answered politely, never one to have a large appetite, "thank you Auntie, it was very good," she said as she took the dishes into the kitchen and rinsed them

"Of course," She replied, "I am always willing to help where I am able, that is how good people are made." She was quoting the scripture from past years

Rachel smiled proudly. Though she did not believe in this particular religion or really any of them, she was proud that Cassandra had found something to have faith in. Religions gave hope that there was something more to the world and everyone's purpose, and Rachel often wished she could believe so she wasn't so pessimistic. "You better go do your studying. I know they always assign some sort of scripture or verse to you to study."

Rachel sighed softly, sitting down on the sofa and staring out of the window. How would she ever tell Cassandra that she was from a witch family? What of Cassie had powers herself and they awoke? She worried her strong faith would be shaken, and she shook her head thinking about it. She stared at her hand, holding it up and creating a small flame in the palm. She quickly put it out. Would Cassandra disown her for having the same powers as their ancestors? These were the thoughts that occupied her mind as her niece got older, and everyday she grew more worried.

Cassandra went about her studying, pouring over more of their holy book for the other classes she would be taking in the afternoon

The rest of the day flew by, and soon Rachel knocked on her bedroom door. "Cass, I'm heading to bed now."

She nodded, shutting herself back in her room where she would read scripture so as to avoid thinking of sinful things, like husbands.
