Something about their mother truly made Eva fear her. She kept her eyes low as their mother spoke. Luckily everyone was almost done and this awkward scenario would be over.

After dinner, while the maids cleaned up, Adrian came to her, "are you ready?" He asked with a pleasant smile that didn't reach his eyes, fully aware of his father's careful eye watching him

"Yes let me just grab my jacket from my room." She said almost relived that she would be going out for a night, distractions were key to her right now. She hurries to her room on the second floor and grabbed her zip up hoodie and black chic combat boots. Her hair hung loose around her waist now, after being tied up in a tight bun all day. Her shirt was a black graphic tee with a white owl on the front. She came back down the stairs, her loose tendrils bouncing with each step. "I'm ready, hope I didn't make you wait too long." She teased slightly. She already felt more relaxed knowing she was going to be out from watchful eyes.

He looked surprised at the transformation, but replied cooly anyways, "no, not at all," he said as they headed for the door, "is there anything in specific you would like to see?"

"Well to be honest I'm not even sure what's all in the town, so I guess I just want to see what makes this place so special. Every town has something to it that sets it apart from the others. Back home, it was a small damn in the woods that people like to go swimming and fishing at." She said not really sure what she was expecting.

"do you miss it?" He asked, stepping down the front steps and trying to think of a special place in town... The truth was, he rarely went anywhere aside from the bar

"No... Home was destroyed for me, though I have fond memories of the place, I don't want to go back jor do I have a reason to." She said a bit more solemnly then she intended.

"Oh?" He said, trying not to sound bored when all he could think of was getting a drink, for some reason the craving was worse knowing he wasn't allowed. "What destroyed it?"

"Nothing that matters anymore, should we get a drink before going out and exploring town? I feel like we are both pretty stiff right now and could use an excuse to losen up?" She asked hoping to change the subject.

He looked at her like he was surprised, but relieved she suggested it, "You'll have to stop me after the first one or I might just keep going," He joked with a smile

Eva giggled. "I'm making no promises, let's just hope there's no karaoke, good luck getting a drunk me away from a mic." She joked enjoying the fact that he seemed to lighten up instantly after recommending the bar

He laughed, "Oh I would never try, that's some good blackmail material~!"

"Well then maybe I'll have to find one just to make you sing with me. We can call it job insurance " Eva said as the continued to walk though town. The street lights lit up the town in a dream like glow. It was still summer so the air was warm with a gentle breeze that dance through her hair. The neon signs could be seen up ahead displaying like a bright welcome sign to the bars.

"I don't know that I have ever done Karaoke, and I get drunk a lot," He answered, "But maybe if you convince me..." He joked, watching her hair, partially hypnotized by it, until they reached the bar. It was a dimly lit area, crowded, and smelled like cigarette's mixed with perfume, and everyone inside was wearing some amount of leather. The parking lot was full of motorcycles and the noises of rock music and drunken laughter poured out the doorway. Adrian looked completely out of place in his light, very expensive, tailored clothing, yet many people greeted him by name as he came in, flashing happy smiles at those he knew. Eva being so comfortable coming to places like this was a complete surprise, that immediately made him think he will enjoy the night more than he expected.

Eva was a bit surprised that it was a dive bar that they went to, not that it was a completely foreign place to her, her home town had them as week, she was just never allowed to go in one on her own. They sat a small table for two and a blonde waitress came over to take their drink orders. She had on daisy duke shorts, a white crop top and piercings that decorated her body from the bellybutton up. Eva ordered herself a dirty Shirley and the waitress gave her a funny look. Not many young people have even heard of the drink anymore. (I've actually had this issue in bars, nobody knows what a dirty Shirley is anymore any its sad because they're delicous. )

(Ugh I'm too young to even go into a bar yet *Cries*)

Adrian chuckled and ordered an obscure, more expensive kind of beer (Did I mention I don't know drinks like AT ALL *Cries harder*)

(Lol anything on the rocks is a classy male drink. Like gin, whiskey, rum, etc. I should've become a bartender after highschool. Lol)
The waitress left and came back about five minutes later with their drinks. Eva took hers and began sipping it imediatly. The bartender made it strong like she was hoping, dive bars were usually pretty good at that. "So, tell me a little about yourself, I've got a read on everyone in the house so far, accept for you." She said hoping to get to know him a little more

He smirked, capturing her in his hypnotic eyes for a moment, before breaking away and waving around the place, "Me." He said simply, sure she would understand. "Just don't tell my parents that."

"So you're a rough and tough biker deep down?" She said with a slight giggle, not meaning to pick fun at him. "But you play piano like Mozart and dress and behave with proper manerism. You are quite the conundrum aren't you?" She said with a flint of insight in her eyes. Like she knew it was more than all of that, but she wanted to hear him say it. He was a rich boy that wanted a taste of the wild side in life. Always behaved and played it safe, but something I'm him yerns to rebel. "It can't be easy living a double life that you keep from everyone, doesn't it get lonely coming here alone?" She asked

He shrugged, "You'd be surprised the amount of women willing to keep a rich kid company," He joked back lightly, "My mother made me learn an instrument, and I chose the piano and fell in love with it instantly." He told her, taking a swig of his drink, "What about you? I wouldn't have pinned you for a drunk karaoke kind of girl."

"Its... Sort of a new thing I'm trying out.. I guess I'm on one of those 'trying to find myself' things right now. Never really had the opritunity to have fun until now." Eva said drinking down the rest of her drink and signaling the waitress for another.
(I seriously drink these things so fast and get drunk by the 5th one lol)

He watched her order another drink with amusement, so much for only one right? He was halfway through his drink and took another gulp of it, "Why couldn't you?" He asked, honestly interested at this point

"I was dating a guy since like sophomore year of highschool and I just recently learn his true colors, or rather became aware of them, and left him... I've got to experience life ever since, he didn't let me do that much when we were together." She said fidgitting with the little plastic cocktail sword that came with her drinks.

Adrian seemed to completely come out from his shell now that he wasn't home, and his response to her troubled past was very different from Isaac's, "Well, f*ck him, I will gladly have your company instead," He said with his smirk, finishing of his beer while touching his finger to the bottom of her drink as she took a sip, playfully making her drink a larger amount than intended.

Eva smiled at Adrian's playful nature. "You know, you look so much less intimidating when you smile." She giggled before ordering him another drink. "So you're going to have to have fun with me now, which means, you're going to have to have more than one drink tonight." She giving him a playful devilish grin.

He looked a little concerned at her first comment, "am I intimidating..?" He asked, accepting the drink and downing half of it quickly

"A little bit, it's more like you seem completely uninterested in the world around you. Like it could all burn down and you wouldn't really blink twice at it. This is the most I've seen you talk or smile since I got here. To be honest with you, when I first got here, you looked at me like I was this aweful annoyance moving into your home..." She said the last part as if she was surprised that it wasn't true. Like she was surprised that someone was actually enjoying her company.

His eyebrows furrowed, "I was probably annoyed with my parents, they're so insistent on looking normal, but we aren't and-" he cut off, shaking his head.
The truth was what they were depressed the hell out of Adrian, but he wouldn't ever say that

"And what?" She asked somewhat insistantly. "At least you still have parents. Know why it was so easy for me to take the job? I had nothing left behind to hold me back. My parents both passed away and I don't really have any family, my boy friend cheated on me with my best friend, so I was out on that too. Literally nobody. So ya.. This job was an out for me a little, but appreciate that you have not only parents who love you, but four other brothers who love you, even if nobody actually says those words to each other." She said giving him one of her smiles that could melt a snowman with it warmth. But there was something else in her eyes. A longing to belong somewhere.

He smiled at her speech, an honest smile, before leaning in, "but what if it seemed to go one forever..? Knowing nothing will ever change, at least not in any way that will impact you..." Of course, to her it seemed like a weird exaggeration, but he knew he would stop aging very soon, and to him, the idea of living forever wasnt one he enjoyed. What was the point of life if it never came to an end? Is anything special when you will never be leaving it? He sighed, "it's difficult to explain, I guess... You wouldn't understand, Isaac is the only one who really sees it." It was the reason he got along so well with him, the quiet one, the only one who knew how to listen and seek understanding.
