The next morning the family all gathered around the table for breakfast except for Adrian, who was late. Cecelia seemed irritated when he finally strolled in, bags under his eyes but otherwise looking the same as yesterday. "Morning," he said tiredly as he sat at the table

Eva sat beside Bobby at the table. After breakfast, she was going to get a run down on his schedule and his rules. She felt tired from the restless night she had but wasn't about to show it. She spent the night having strange dreams and nightmares. Xaiver was in a few of them... Trying to kill her... And the other one was a little foggy, but she remembered that there was a lot of blood and this family. (Ooo foreshadowing) she looked back down to her plate in front of her and took another bite.

Bobby dug into his food like a starving animal while their mother ask Adrian, "and where have you been?"

"I overslept, mother, I apologize," he replied, earning a stiff nod

Theodore frown at his son dodging answers but knew it wasnt something to bring up in front of the new nanny. He gave Adrian a scowl "after breakfast, I'd like to see you in my study Adrian." He said bitterly.

Thomas was beside his father, quiet as usual picking at his plate unamused. His siblings were sloppy and unruley. He hated that.

Jeevus was off to the side standing there, ready to wait on them hand and foot, like a good butler.
Molly and Maria were out doing their daily chores.

Eva felt awkward with all the tension between the family. She wanted to go back and hide in her room, but that's not what she was hired for.

"yes father." Adrian answered blandly and began eating his breakfast while Bobby made a mess of his, playing with it more than he ate

After everyone finished their food Theo quietly stood up and cleared his throat as if to tell Adrian to follow him to his study.
Thomas stood and left quickly but not abruptly.
The maids had returned and were cleaning off the table promptly.
Eva stood and paicently waited for further instructions.

Adrian marched off after his father, a look of annoyance on his face at the lecture that was bound to come.

Cecilia immediately went into Eva's duties, "You are to watch Bobby and be sure nothing happens to him, he is to behave, but if he doesn't you may get ahold of his father or I," She threw daggers at bobby in her glare, daring him to misbehave, "His tutors will come for his lessons at 12, 2, and 3 o'clock, and you are both expected to be seated at the dinner table by 6. Understood?"

"Yes ma'am, understood." Eva said with a bow. She took bobby to go get ready for his first tutor of the day.

Theo shut the door behind him and Adrian. "I assume you know why I brought you in here. Staying out all night? Alone? It seems suspicious and you know that's what we are trying to avoid. You need to be more social, interested, and human. Take the new girl out and show her around town after dinner. Do normal college kid this. And stay out of trouble." Theo lectured

Bobby hopped in front of her to his room, only behaving so well because his mother was right there, before looking up at her with a scowl, "My FAVORITE game is seeing how fast I can make my nanny quit. My record is TWO DAYS." He declared

Adrian tensed at the clear orders, a muscle in his jaw ticked slightly, "Is it truly appropriate to be taking the nanny out on a date, sir?"

"Well I'm definetly going to beat two days there kido." Eva laughed, knowing she was stubborn enough to handle this kid.

Theo frowned. "I didn't say date, take your brothers if you want, just... Stop acting like a vampire, appearances are important." He said in slight frustration.

He snickered, seeming to accept the challenge, though for some reason he didn't dread this girl like he hated most nannies, so maybe he would accept a week.

Adrian suppressed a groan, his brothers were a much worse option, Isaac being the only one he could stand and that boy didn't go anywhere. It irked him that he wasn't getting a similar lecture. "I will show Mrs. Halloway around our town after dinner then."

"Very good, now you're dismissed, go get your sulking out now." Theo said waving his hand and focusing back on his paper work.

Eva smiled at the kid, in a way, she understood his loneliness. "So, we have an hour before your lesson, wanna play a game before then?" She asked Bobby with a spark of temptation in her voice.

Adrian bit back any remark, though his hands became fists at his side, "yes sir." He said before turning and leaving quickly.

Bobby looked at her like she was crazy, "you want to play with me??

"Well ya, I'm not your typical stuffy nanny. I'll tell you a little secret, I used to wish someone would play with me when I was your age. So, how about a game of hide and seek. If I find you before your lesson, you have to help me out instead of trying to get rid of me, and if I don't find you before you have to go to your lesson, then you can ask me anything you want, weather it be a favor or a question. Do we have a deal?" She asked. Eva could tell that the kid was smart, but he was still a kid, so a game with a prize to be won would hopefully peek his interest and giver her and excuse to wander the halls a little without seeming nosey.

He mulled it over in his little brain for a few seconds before a grin split his face, thinking of all the places he could teach they she never would, "deal!!"

"OK, we will stick to the first floor, and no going outside to hide. We will save the out doors for a bigger game. I'll count to 30 Mississippi and then come looking for you." Eva smiled before covering her eyes and beginning her count.

He frowned at the sudden limitation but quickly recovered, thinking of a new hiding spot and nodding, it wasn't like the huge mansion didn't have enough space for one little vampire, "Okay, go!!" And with that, he took off, streaming out of the hall they were in faster than some would think possible, though he slowed because he knew mother wanted to keep hidden what they were. He went into the huge attached garage, which he decided wasn't technically 'Outside' and, with one big leap, practically flew up onto the rafters, tucking himself into a corner hidden in the darkness.

Eva finished her counting and headed down the hall she heard his little feet pitter patter down before getting to far to hear. "Ready or not, here I come!" She called out in an almost sing songy voice.

He snickered up in the rafters, knowing she would never see him up here, and waited.

Adrian was making his way to the stairs when he saw Eva, then he looked conflicted. He really didn't want to ask her out, at all. But, he decided he needed to get it over with or his father would bring him hell. "Miss Halloway... I was wondering if you would like to come with me so I can show you around town after dinner tonight?" He put on his charming smile, one that would take someone's breath away, and seemed completely at odds with the shyness he usually showed around his family.

Eva was caught off guard a little. "Oh um sure, but just as friends. I don't want to mix work and personal lives, I hope that's OK." She said hoping she wouldn't hurt his ego but lord knew she wasn't ready for dating yet. But at the same time she could use the distraction.

His eyebrows furrowed, but he nodded, "Of course, I wasn't meaning anything by it." Then he looked around quickly, "Where's Bobby?"

"Hide and seek, kid deserves to be a kid a bit before his lessons. He's good though, I'll give him that." Eva almost giggled. "And I wasn't insinuating, I was simply making clear the intentions I would accept." She said crossing her arms a little sassily.

"Did you give him limitations? I wouldn't be surprised if he was halfway out of town if not."

"Yes, I told him to stay inside and on the first floor. He's a clever kid, so I wouldn't be too surprised if he ends up beating me in this game." Eva said letting one of her sincere smiles slip out. This family wasn't so bad, a little scary at first, but Eva start to believe that they were simply misunderstood people.

"Does the garage count as inside?" He asked, deciding to help her out in dealing with the devil child

"Well I didn't think of that, so I'm guessing that its a good place yo look. Thank you Adrian." Eva smiled before walking toward the door to the garage. Once she opened it and turn on the light, she did her best giant voice and called out playfully. "Fe fi fo fum, I smell the scent of a little one" she called out hoping to get a giggle out of the boy to help her find him

He held his breath and stayed curled up tight, covering his mouth so he wouldn't expose himself, thinking she wouldn't ever look up

Eva pulled her phone out of her pocket to check the time, she had been keeping it on airplane mode so she wouldn't have to get any messages from Xavier. "We have 10 minutes until your lesson, you win kiddo. I'm gonna close my eyes so I don't see your spot, we can play again another time." She said slightly disappointed that time went so fast and that she didn't have much time to look for him. She kept her word and closed her eyes. "Come out, come out, wherever you are,"

"I'm right here." Said the boy, suddenly behind her with a huge grin, "And I want chocolates for my prize!"

"Alright, I'll get you some tonight and give them to you tomorrow after breakfast." She said opening her eyes and turning to face him. "Ready for your lesson?" She asked him ready to get a minute to herself.
