Yumiko had an entire train of her thoughts zip through her mind in a split second, before barking at Jun, "I have to kill her now, bite her and I will be back," and with that she zoomed out.
His heart constricted, but he did as she said, knowing Yumi was perhaps the only person he would trust with his mates life. His fangs slipped into her skin easily, sinking in farther than normal before coming back out just as Yumiko got back, holding a knife from the kitchen.

Yume's eyes flew open at the bite but the didn't quite seem there, and they closed just as fast.

"Don't look, Jun." Yumiko told him, wishing she didn't have to either as she positioned the knife above her chest. "It... It has to be fast... For the baby..." With that, she took a breath, and sunk the blade in deeply. Even though the act was hard for her, she knew exactly where the aorta branched from the heart, and severed it perfectly, ending her life almost instantaneously

Jun stared, unblinking, at the bloody knife Yumiko pulled from her, dropping it to the floor as she leaned in to monitor the baby's heartbeat, making sure it stayed pumping until Yume's revived. The man's eyes widened in panic as he didn't hear the loud thumping of her heart restart. It felt as though hours had passed, and he nearly lost it before-
Ba-dum, Ba-dum, Ba-dum
Yumiko sighed in relief, a grin spreading over her face as her heart sounded like one that was perfectly healthy, it would be around 24 hours now before she woke up.

Aiko had said everything would be too loud, that was correct. She had said any light would be too bright, that was correct too. She hadn't spoke of how absolutely terrified the brand new vampire would be.
When she opened her eyes she didn't remember anything, like a brand new baby with super senses, the light from the moon shining through her window was blinding, and noises she couldn't place pounded against her eardrums, the whooshing of the ocean a mile away, a shriek of a night animal in the forest behind her house, and
BANG BANG BANG
Something close, that reverberated in her skull. She flew into the corner of the room, stumbling on legs that went too fast under her when a terrible screaming noise sounded and more of the blasted light came from a opening door.
A man stood there, with piercing red eyes drilling into her, and they incited more fear than anything else. Something in her core screamed to get away from him, that he would hurt her, even though a tiny part of her, in the back of her brain, held recognition for his features, turned into a gentle expression of understanding.
"Yume..." He said quietly, a word she did not recognize as more noises swarmed into her head and her eyes burned. She began to find a familiarity in his voice, and then he took a step towards her.

She flinched as he took the step forward, covering her head with her hands and arms. The world was new again. Her confusion wouldn't subside for a while, but when it did, she closed her eyes. The sounds hurt, the light hurt, everything hurt. She shakily looked up towards him, her still-human eyes looking into his red ones. "J-Jun..."

He sighed quietly, knowing how loud everything was, he took another tentative step, "It's okay, just listen to me, okay..?" He said, thinking of his experience with new vampires in the past, "Focus on one noise, a quiet one... Your heartbeat, your breathing..."

She closed her eyes and tried to do so, deciding to focus on her heartbeat. As she listened, she looked back up at Jun. "It's so strong..."

He nodded, smiling, "It was weak before... Do you remember that?" He asked gently, taking another two steps and crouching, trying to make himself smaller in front of her

His smile widened and he nodded, "Yes," he breathed, beginning to reach out towards her, "I'm your mate," He said, hoping that would make her animal side trust him more, "Are you thirstly?" He asked, keeping his tone even as the noises began attacking her again. At his words, her throat began to burn with an unbearable dryness, feeling like barbed wire down her throat. It would be a bit before this didn't feel like an overwhelming circus of unpleasant sensations.

She nodded quickly, ignoring the throbbing in her head from the lights and sounds, and reached out to take his hand. "I don't think I've ever been so thirsty before..."

He took it gently, wanting to embrace her but knowing it was too soon, "We have things prepared for you downstairs..." He said, slowly pulling her to her feet.
Her legs seemed wobbly, like she was the opposite of drunk, her limbs moving faster than her brain expected. Jun had to catch her from stumbling on her second step, "Careful, try to walk slowly..."

He smiled, she was still moving at a fast pace for a human, but no longer in a blur, "Good," He told her, guiding her to the table in the dining room. He went and grabbed a large pitcher and brought it back with a big cup. As the cup was filled with the thick red liquid, a new instinct screamed at her to chug it ravenously.

While she was horrified with this new instinct, she couldn't help but snatch the cup away as soon as he was done pouring the blood into it, gulping it down quickly.

He smiled like a proud parent and refilled it immediately, multiple times before she could slow down and her normal brain could start to be heard over the other one, though it still craved more. Jun went to grab the next pitcher, happy to see some color reappear into her cheeks

As she drank, the delicious taste filled her mouth and she was unable to resist it. She needed more, and as she continued to drink, she thought that this must have been heaven.

"Volunteers... A lot of them," He said with a chuckle, "Yumiko has a lot of influence." He said, red eyes seeming to glow even more with her new vision. They traveled to her lips and back, noting the red smeared over them as he smiled. "New vampires need a lot, as I'm sure you can tell..."

He nodded, a playful look in his eyes, "That about sums it off, but it'll get easier..." He said confidently, (Saying that doesn't translate to Japanese) "Yumiko calls it the four F's, fighting, fleeing, feeding and... mating." He finished, his voice faltering at the last bit, "She's always been a bit vulgar..." He said, yet at the thought his eyes seemed to alight with fire, darting to her bite as he sucked in a breath. No. He needed to be the one with his head straight. He turned to get another pitcher.

He took a bit longer in bringing the new one back, trying to calm himself down before facing her again, but everything seemed to be exaggerated now, every exhale of breath, every flutter of their eyelashes, he met her eyes and took in a sharp breath, his hands making fists on the edge of the table.

"You should have more..." He said, hardly moving his jaw. He had known of new ones thinking they were fine and then wreaking havoc on a town minutes later. Best to overfill them from the start, plus, a small part of him worried for the furniture...
