Royals of The Night (Tsuchimi x HerWhisper)

Hashima, Japan, a small island off the mainland where nothing ever seemed to happen, experienced a slight stir with the Kanemoto family sent their fourth oldest Son, and his personal servant, to live in the dark, musky mansion that lived at the edge of the tiny, close-nit town.

Now to be clear, no one really KNEW who this boy was, or where he came from, in fact, no one really knew ANYTHING about whoever it was that occupied the place, just that the mansion was seemingly abandoned for as long as anyone could remember, and now someone was there, and every now and then in the evening an older man, maybe 50 years of age, would wander around a store here or there on main street.

While this doesn't seem like it would cause too much ruckus, the amount of gossip floating around the small area seemed to explode, maybe it was a ghost, or a psycho, who on earth would never come out of his house?

Meanwhile, a young girl, who had lived in the area bored and seeking an adventure, may get exactly her wish through the mystery house, and maybe even more than she can handle.

Name: Yume Morioka
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearence: Short and petite. She has long light brown hair that goes down to her lower back. She usually wears it up in a tight bun. Her eyes are a deep brown, and her kimono are all simple with no patterns on them.

Over the course of a few weeks, gossip began spreading about spottings of the younger occupant of the mansion, causing those who hadn't seen him yet even more curious. Word had it that he was handsome and kind, but had eyes so shocking one would become speechless when they see them. Eventually it seemed that Yume could have been the only person in her town that had not met the boy yet. Then one evening she spotted him.

He was a block down the street from her and walking away, but she knew who it was still from the old fashion, black and grey clothing and black head of hair she hadn't seen before.

But even still, she wouldn't meet him at this pace, he was walking at a faster pace than she was, and almost to the road he would turn at.

Yume watched him for a long while before slowly creeping behind him, following him to his famous mansion. She hasn't had any interest in him until this very moment, but she realized that upon seeing him, he filled her mind completely and she was unable to break away from his enchanting spell.

Jun kept walking casually until Yume drifted from main Street along with him. At that moment he tilted his head sideways like an animal that had heard something, even though he was way too far to have heard her.

Then he turned abruptly behind a building and seemingly vanished.

Yume peered behind the building, her brow furrowing in confusion. Where had he gone? There was no way any person could simply vanish just like that. After taking a moment to think, she decided to go straight to the mansion. She knew where it was, for when she was little the old village ladies told her stories of ghosts that haunted it. She stood outside of the mansion many times as a child, too scared to venture inside. She began walking, determined to find out more about this mysterious man.

Jun was right behind her after she had walked a few steps and tapped on her shoulder gently, boring when she turns around "good afternoon, miss, may I help you?" He asked before pinning her in place with his bright, but gentle red eyes

She gasped as she turned around and saw him. She seemed to get lost in his eyes for a minute before shaking her head. "N-No... I was just going for a night time walk." She laughed nervously, wondering how he had gotten behind her without her seeing.

He raised an eyebrow like he didn't believe her but smiles pleasantly anyways, "it may not be safe to stray from Main Street this late in the evening"

"Oh, this island and the people on it aren't dangerous. I've grown up here, I know everyone. No need to worry about that."

He debated what she said for a moment, his smile making it seem like he knew a secret he wouldn't share, before nodding politely again "my mistake, I am new to Hashima... I don't believe we have met before?"

"Oh, no. We haven't. I'm one of the few people on Hashima that doesn't listen to the gossip about you either, so don't worry, you've got a clean slate with me!" She bowed politely. "I'm Morioka Yume. It's a pleasure."

"gossip?" He chuckled, "I can't imagine what kind of gossip one would hear... I'm Jun Kanemoto," he bowed formally, "I'm visiting from Kyoto city"

"Kyoto? The capital? Wow, fancy. What's it like over there? I've never been to the mainland."

"I'm not sure I would consider Kyoto to be much like the rest of the mainland, it's a city that allowed old fashioned politics ruin everything good..." His gaze went over her shoulder before cutting back to her again, the intensity of his eyes unrelenting, "I greatly prefer this place"

"Really? But never exciting ever happens on Hashima. It's quiet and has a very small community. I mean, you showing up here has caused the most ruckus since I've been alive!"

He chuckled and looked around as though paparazzi might be spying on him this moment, "Yes, I suppose I can't continue pretending I didn't know that, I think you may be the first lady that hasn't nearly fainted upon meeting me," he said, almost shyly

"Fainted? Why would I faint while meeting you?" She crossed her arms before her eyes widened slightly. "Oh, I didn't mean it like that...! You're a very attractive person, it's just that my heart isn't easily affected by others..."

He grinned at what she said, "It is refreshing to hear that actually... Why don't I accompany you on your walk. That is, if you don't mind."

"If it isn't any trouble to you, sure." She smiled. "I live in the Kanayanagi neighborhood. It's a bit of a walk but we'll survive."

He smiled back, an odd look flashing through his eyes before he held out an arm for her to hold, "lead the way then, miss"

She picked her arm in his, a pleasant smile on her face as they walked through the village.

He was very quiet for a while, contemplating things in his own head. When they were about halfway home he looked down at her, "I have enjoyed the small amount of time we've spent together, would you want to come to my house sometime next week for dinner?"

"To your house...? Haven't I already troubled you enough?"

He shook his head and have a dazzling smile, "I would be happy to have you over"

"Well, then I would be happy to accept your offer. How about Wednesday night?"

"perfect, I will let my Butler (what the heck would the equivalent of a Butler be??) know we will have company, perhaps we can pick you up at 7?"

(Butler would be fine haha)

Yume nodded, "If you feel that is necessary, though I am capable of walking on my own."

"oh nonsense it would be no trouble," he said, "he has been completely bored with no one to serve but myself so I am sure he will be excited"
