Shino wheezed again as she felt herself slip back into unconsciousness. Hime stared up at her mother fearfully, still in tears, then looked to Juri desperately.

Shino didn't wake up, and though her heart was still beating, it was barely enough to keep her frail body alive.

Hime's tiny face contorted as she began to wail loudly, startling Hina into crying along with her.

Both of them continued to cry for nearly an hour until they finally exhausted themselves and fell asleep.

Teru stared back at Juri in shock. Mimi was in her arms, and she had to stop herself from flinching so she wouldn't disturb the toddler.

"Shino passed out and won't wake up and Hisao is crying but I can't touch him cause he's a boy and and I don't know what to do." She started to cry softly, burying her face in her hands.
