There was the sound of servants soaking outside for a few minutes before complete, eerie silencer engulfed the palace for the night

Oeyo would awake early the next morning, quickly dressing herself in a simple kimono.

Eventually a lady in waiting came and knocked on her door, she was an older woman who had a kind face, she smiled at Oeyo and introduced herself "I am Sato Fukumi and I will help introduce you to being a lady in waiting for the Empress, as I am sure she will want you close to her"

She smiled, bowing politely. "I am Oeyo Kodai. It is nice to meet you." She followed her outside of the room, eager to start her training.

Servants were bustling around the kitchen, preparing breakfast while Fukumi waited by the counter, she gave her warm smile again and said "the breakfasts are almost ready for the harem (not sure if it's a different word in Japan lol), you'll accompany me to bring the Empress hers"

She turned back to the kitchen "I think everything is covered now, but perhaps for the empress lunch we will let you prove yourself," she said lightly as a servant passed them each a tray containing food and tea, "this way, miss Kobai" she told Oeyo, ducking out of the kitchen towards the empresses room
