"Y-you're... leaving?" She asked a little disappointed. "Do you want me to go home?..." she said with her eyes keeping low.

"No, you can stay here, I thought you would prefer it over your home but I was very harsh before, I apologize..." He said quietly "I have business to do for a few days in a town nearby" (that I'm thinking she might be very curious about after a couple days )

"Business huh..." she muttered under her breath. "I'll stay for now... be safe... I guess." She said unsure of what to think with him or where she truly stands.

"Very well" he answered, his face blank again, as he began to leave Siena came back "the car is ready, Mari..."

"Alright thank you Siena, I'm coming " she said flatly and walked past him to follow Siena. She gave one last glance over her shoulder to see him

They go to a bookstore and Matteo helps her and Siena out of the car, then hands Siena a card. When they get into the store she tells Mari "buy anything you would like, Miss" with a smile

"Thank you." She said as she browsed. 'I'm going to explore the mansion tonight and possibly find out where he's going. I-I just need to know... god I sound like a crazy stalker girlfriend... I'm not even that to him... I don't even know what I am to him...' she was lost in thought as she scanned over the books.

She hesitated in her answer, maids were not supposed to tell their masters what to do... But if Senor Luca ordered something specific...

"Signori-I mean, Mari, I don't think I can let you follow him... I'm sorry" she said with a nervous face

When they got back to the mansion it was around 6 at night

"I will work on preparing supper miss" Siena said with a slight curtsey before she left.

(There is one door that's tucked away and locked up, just so you know that's in my plans lol, aside from that whatever you want is cool)

(I gotta get my bike back from the woods when I tried to jump so I can drive to the club.)
Mari took the opportunity of being alone to start digging through the house. First things first, she had to find his office or bedroom to see if she could find out where he was. She looked in a few rooms taking each and every hall she came across. "This place is bigger than I thought..." she said softly as she came up to a big wooden door that seemed to be locked. She let out a soft sigh. "Looks like I'm picking the lock." She said as she pulled two Bobby pins out of her hair and began filling with the door. (Be back in like 30-40mins)

"Im very sorry but I cannot let you go in there..." Siena said from beside her, her and Lucas footsteps were so quiet Mari wondered if she'd ever stop being surprised by their sudden appearances "that room is not housing any of Lucas belongings though. If you would like, I can show you his room." She offered politely, placing her hand on the door gently so she could stop it from opening if need be with her supernatural strength

"O-oh Umm... sure... how did you know I was here?" Mari asked curiously.

"I... I heard you" she said "I assume you were looking for his room, it's this way" she said as she turned to go back. She took her to the room farthest bad on a different area of the mansion "supper will be ready soon" then she curtseyed again and left. In the room was a bed, fancy but not quite as grand as hers, and a desk at the side with a few papers on and in it, most of them written in Italian, aside from this the room seemed rather bland

"This isn't it..." Mari muttered once she was alone. "He has to have his own private study. Or at least a laptop or something she said sitting on the edge of his bed.

When she had dug through the drawers, there was one note that looked intriguing to Mari, it was an opened black envelope addressed to "Luca da Paradiso" in the inside was a formal letter written in what looked like female cursive handwriting:

"Senior Luca,

on behalf of your betrothal, you have been given a free pass in closed in this letter that will get you into the Immortal Lair (the club)

I do hope to see you soon, friend

"Bingo." Mari finally found something to go on. 'Now to come up with a way to get in.' She thought as she put the card back. "The Immortal Lair, sounds interesting." She muttered as she began to find her way back to the dinning room. "I need to have Matteo take me to my bike tonight." She said thinking of her bike being just left by the woods that night.

"Matteo is out right now, he will be back later" Siena said although she probably should not have been able to understand. She paused, thinking about her exact orders "I can accompany you to the Immortal Lair if you wish, miss. Otherwise I will follow in the shadows." She said as she began bringing trays of food out into the dining room, motioning her to sit at the table

"So basically I'm not getting out of going alone, and you're going to only let me go as far as my leash will let me." She sighed. "Alright, but I want my bike and I want you in the shadows then. I want to at least pretend I'm on my own." She said.

"My orders are to assure you are not hurt" she answered quietly, "please, eat" she curtseyed again and stepped just out of the room

Mari sighed and ate her food. The food was delicious but it felt strange sitting alone in the dinning room as she was.

Siena came back then with another smaller tray "would it be alright if I ate with you miss?" She asked, walking to the far end from her

"I'd enjoy that... I'm not used to eating alone in such a big place. I'm sorry I'm acting so crazy..." Mari said trying to appeal to Siena more and maybe get her on Maris side.

She politely answered in her delicate voice "I don't think you're being crazy... We are probably the crazy ones. Senor Luca is not used to huma- I mean, he's only used to his life, and how things work where he lives is very different from here..." She tried to explain

Mari notice the slip Siena had but kept it to herself. "Ya, it's like he's from this alien planet I want to understand." Mari said
"So what's your opinion on his odd fascination with me?" She boldly asked. She wanted to know if it was worth it. If there was actually something worth pursuing with this incredible and mysterious man.

She thought to herself for a moment "in our society it's common for a person to... Click in our heads, and you can't stop it, and you can't stop obsessing over it. I think he wanted to leave you alone regardless, so you wouldn't be burdened, but then you..." She looked down at her food "you must understand he was just angry, otherwise he wouldn't have been so harsh"
