Suddenly it clicked to Mari as if someone had turned a light on in her head. She didn't want to say anything in front of Raven but as soon as Luca was alone she was going to say something.

She continued looking at him oddly, "you have never stopped me, even from getting yourself in trouble... What is on your mind, Luca?"

Raven thought for a moment before nodding her head, she had much more power than Luca, but she trusted him greatly. "Talk to me once you figure it out." She said, standing up, "for now you two get a hotel for the night..."
"Of course," Luca replied, wrapping his arm around Mari's waste again as they left to the car

Mari said her goodbyes to Alex and Raven before leaving with Luca to the hotel. She waited until they were alone in the hotel room to say anything. "So Lana looks an awful lot like Raven doesn't she?" She blurted out suddenly.
Now that Raven and Alex were alone, he broke out a bottle of wine and two glasses. "Wanna relax a little" he asked as he offered her a glass.

"I don't know, all I could see was that stupid grin I constantly wanted to slap off of her fathers idiotic face," he muttered as he opened the huge door to the crazy elaborate hotel room, "this isn't the best but it's what I could find in this town..."
Raven grinned as she grabbed a glass "you should know me better than to bring out the weak stuff"

"It's fine, I don't need big and extravagant, you know this." She smiled before getting back to the serious topic. "So do you think that Lana could be her had sister then? Maybe that's why he freaked out so bad when Raven was with a human and snapped because he wasn't OK with the choices he made and wouldn't allow her to make the same choices?"

"She was born premature due to the stress... Raven gave her away to a trusted friend to keep the dangers of the royals from her, then later she was told Arianna wasn't strong enough to live past infancy... I presume her friend was smart enough to cut all ties even ones Raven wouldn't think to..."

"Molly's doing good. She's head of her soccer team and seems to be doing good in school. This whole internet era made it so I can still check her grades online. I'd still give anything to tell Her how proud I am of her." Alex said with a touch of sorrow in his voice.

She nodded "I am sure you would..." Something made her face change for a second but she continued smoothly "What about her mom..?"
In that second, memories had flashed through her mind as they did every so often, the pain of childbirth in a dirty peasant house 93 years ago. Her screams of agony followed by a child's cry, and a woman quickly passing her daughter off to Irene, Raven's closest human friend.
Then, "take her, quickly, far away... Irene," Raven grasped the woman's arm firmly "keep her safe from... Her family..." The words came through clearly, though her face was contorted into an expression of the deepest sorrows as she watched the girl step quickly through the doors with the tiny thing then named Arianna.

"Lillian is OK... I think she's starting to date again... it's hard to watch honestly... but I'm happy she's moving on and still living. She wasn't doing so well the first five years after I left..." he said still reveling in his Ian sadness before realizing Ravens. "You miss them don't you?" He said in a soft and tender voice that seemed a little odd coming from such a gruff man.

She gave a soft smile, she was too good at burying her sadness to show it "of course I do... Falco running around the fishing boats on the hot days with his stupid grin," she almost laughed at the memory, he had got the job part time to make extra money of the side while his painting job was picking up in America, they needed any cash they could get with their expecting "Alessandro, showing me his drawings every afternoon..." She didn't look upset, but she bit her black lip gently, which showed quite a bit coming from someone as stark as she was

Alex placed a hand gently over hers. "You don't have to pretend in front of me Raven, you know you can take off your mask around me." He said as he gently brushed a strand of hair back as he caressed her face.
