Blood Angel

[gravitron]

Amelia pursed her lips. "Fine."
"I'm not leaving you again, Angelian," insisted Lucifer. "Whatever we do, we do together."

[focusedheart]

Angelian nods a bit, glad that Amelia agreed, though unhappy about it, she agreed. She looks to Lucifer and nods again, smiling gently. Arguing with him would be useless. She also remembered how she was those few days he was missing.

[gravitron]

"I'll stay," insisted Raphael.
"Brother," began Michael in annoyance.
"No, Michael. You are my family. This is what I do." He stepped forward. "Take me where ever you wish, and the others will take Jackson and go stop the vampires."
The president nodded. "To ensure that you are willing, and can't simply break out later with your vampiric abilities.... Would it be too much to ask that you drink the silver?"
Raphael grabbed a glass of water and downed it without hesitation, promptly stumbling before being held up by the president. "Thank you for your cooperation. Now, as I said, you have one month. Do not waste it."

There was no time to argue any more. They had to get results. She nods and begins to head out with the others. She kept her angel powers locked away for now as they left. She was though thinking of the other angels. Wondering if they may now something about why the vampires were suddenly acting as they were.

[gravitron]

Lucifer put his hand in Angelian's once they were out and smiled at her.
"We now have one month to completely change a race from what it was made to do," Gabriel sighed. "We need to get to work."
"The humans were right about one thing," Michael told him. "Your law enforcement system is crap. Is there even still law enforcement at all outside the capital? I say we prove to them we mean business, and start with Jackson here. The punishment for treason is death, and you know it."
"Not gonna happen," said Amelia with a fire in her eyes and steel in her voice. "Let's just deal with the actual problem. We need to let Jax rest, and he can explain himself once this is over."
"Laws must be followed, Amelia," said Michael regretfully. "And no crime is worse than treason."

She smiles a little to Lucifer then looks to Michael. "Even one who commits treason is allowed a trial. Let him heal and then you can have a public trial that will get to the bottom of it all. I do not trust the president and so we need to work quickly. Something is causing this and we need to stop it. The laws do need to be addressed as well."

[gravitron]

"Yes, this is how we address the laws. We let this slide, and the people see how lenient we're being. No one is above the law. Once he's conscious, of course he gets a trial. And unless the extremely unlikely circumstance should arise that his defense is successful, he will face the death penalty. We must not make exceptions."
"Jax. Will. Not. Die," insisted Amelia.
"Guys!" Gabriel stopped them. "Like Angelian said. He will be given time to rest while we crack down on those who consider themselves above the law, and then we can deal with Jackson's trial."
"But they're right about law enforcement," Lucifer spoke up. "As in, we don't have any where it's needed. That should be our first priority, is setting up a good system to uphold the law. Then the problem will already be solved, both short term and long term."
"Within a month?" debated Gabriel. "That's not realistic. We need to end this short term, stop those causing the problem, and then we'll get sufficient time to worry about long term law enforcement."

Angelian shakes her head a bit. "We may need to break into teams on this. Some start on the laws and the rest go and stop whatever is causing this. Both the laws and the cause of this problem need to be dealt with together. Doing them separately will take too long." She says

[gravitron]

Gabriel looked to her. "One month. This is not much time for establishing long term law enforcement.... But then, it is not much for changing the ways of our race, either. Lucifer, you lead the law enforcement portion, I'll take the people."
"I'm going with Gabriel," Michael said.
"We'll need to get Maggie before we go too, then," Gabriel told him.
Amelia looked to Lucifer and smiled, joining him.

She nods a bit. " We can do it. For the sake of the people, we have to and I know we can." She smiles a little and looks to Lucifer. "Let's get started."

The words of the high angel now bugging her again. Could this be what he meant? It made her wonder if the angel had known all about this.

[gravitron]

Gabriel and Michael left, and Lucifer looked between Angelian and Amelia. “We should start with some of the bigger cities, start setting up law enforcement bases and recruiting patrols.”

[focusedheart]

Angelian nods a bit. "Yes. Hopefully in doing that we can figure out the cause of the problem."

[gravitron]

Amelia looked back. "I hate having to leave Raph behind. He doesn't deserve that. It feels horrible."
"Agreed," Lucifer nodded solemnly. "Which is exactly why we have to do this quickly. Gabe, Michael, and Maggie will do their part, and we have to do ours, within a month, if that's even possible."
"It'll have to be," Amelia told him. "Raph is coming back."
"Agreed. Let's start with the rest of America. There are almost a hundred small cities of vampires in the country, and at least half of them will need a system by our deadline, to show clear improvement in the nation. We can deal with the rest of the countries after that, and take care of the remaining cities once we've put a sizable law enforcement system in every country with high vampire counts."

Angelian nods a bit. "Its the best shot we have at this point of making this work." She says in agreement.
