He continued to smile to her, inexplicably smitten with her shy expression. This was it. He was done playing. He never thought this day would come, but... Lily would be worth it. They could make something worthwhile together.

Lily continued smiling, laughing with him and having lovely conversations. She wasn't used to all of this. Usually guys seemed so uninterested and left without any intention of calling her later, but for some reasom, she felt that Chris was different. Soon, the date came to an end, and Lily stood to put on her coat.

At seven sharp on Saturday evening, Chris arrived and knocked on the door of the Branom house. He was dressed nicely, and had a modest bouquet of flowers with him as a present for Lily. He had been unable to keep his mind off of her in the few days since their meeting, and now he found himself to be uncharacteristically nervous about meeting her again.
