James was nervously walking to his first day of classes at his college, history being the first. He had worked for two years after high school to save enough for tuition and was finally starting. He had been a vegetarian since the beginning of high school, being a strong animal lover who had no desire for meat. As he made it to his class just in time, he sat in a spot towards the front, waiting for the class to start.

Posy looked over to the tall, skinny boy who sat next to her and blushed slightly. He was so cute..! No, history. She needed to focus on history. She needed the distribution credit, after all. Why had she put off taking this course for so long..? It was typically a freshman course, not a course for juniors. Oh, no, what if this boy was a freshman? What if he was underage?! That would be a disaster if she-- wait, no, stop. Class. Focus on class. Not on the lovely contour of his jawline, his long, dark eyelashes....

As James pulled out all of his things, he met Posy's gaze and smiled politely. He didn't say anything though, quickly looking back to the front of the class.

Posy blushed even more and looked back to her own things. Class soon started, and despite her best efforts the redheaded girl found it difficult to keep her eyes off of the boy next to her. Something about him seemed... different. That was it. She had to have him for her club. She would wait for class to end, and then start a friendly, casual conversation with him. That'd work, right? Right?

James hardly noticed her constant staring, listening to the lecture diligently. Class ended early today, and as James put his things away, he met Posy's gaze again. He smiled, deciding to speak this time. "Hi there. How are you?"

She stood clumsily and gathered up her things, then headed out of the classroom, making sure he followed behind her. It was a short walk from their classroom to her dorm. Their destination was the large kitchen on the first floor. She opened the door for him and smiled nervously.
"I've got to do some organization in the fridge, and then I need to unwrap and put away the new set of frying pans and do some dishes...."

She blushes and nods. "Yeah.... it's pretty simple, we just get together to make meals on nights when there's no food on campus included in the meal plan. We all get together and vote on a theme beforehand, but since it's the first meeting, I'm the one picking all the stuff."

Posy excitedly pulled out her phone to text her friend and the club's Vice President, Julie, about the cute new recruit she had found. Julie had volunteered ahead of time to do the grocery shopping for the evening, and so Posy sent her several vegetarian recipes she thought would work well together and requested that those ingredients be brought.
