I could go for a "Run-away Princess" roleplay right now. Back in my neopets days these were hugely popular, and usually involved several princesses running away at the same time, and usually also on a rainy night. It was pretty silly. I did once play in a runaway prince and princess roleplay, they were siblings and fell in with bandits. It was pretty awesome for such a silly concept.
Just goes to show you can have a lot of fun even with a fairly silly roleplay idea. Another popular but silly roleplay was a royal ball for a Prince to choose a bride. A Cinderella concept that usually ended up with a dozen princesses who were in very detailed described outfits who all, naturally, were not at all interested in meeting the prince and had to come because of reasons outside their powers. Usually no one even played the prince so naturally the roleplays didn't go anywhere most of the time. But people would keep making them in hopes that someone would play the prince and fall in love with one of their rebel girl. I probably did once. I think I played a thief or assassin who infiltrated the ball once and of course started asking all the ladies to dance. They were more "Meh" ish roleplays, not overly exciting. Usually I just lurked and laughed to myself at how desperately these roeplayers were trying not to be despies.
a "Despie" if you are interested in old roleplay slang, was for a "Desperate person," these were people trying, as it implies, desperately to have all the attention, or make the opposite sex characters fall in love with them. You could spot them because they would emphasize their character's beauty, have random things happen to injure them so that all, or the targeted love interest, was forced to go to them and pay attention. They were sort of like crazed stalkers, and if the intended target took interest in anyone else, you could bet the despie threw themselves between them more or less, or again, would end up injured. These were female characters most of the time.
