Welcome to Stella Nova Academy of Witchcraft!



Here you will learn to use your powers to protect yourself, others, and for the greater good. We do not tolerate mischief here and always ask that our students be on their best behavior. Despite your differences of character and nature, you will all be placed into classes based on your skill level. 

The classes being: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master. 

Master class witches and wizards spend less time in the classroom and more time doing practical magic around the area. They will be in charge of keeping order of their underclassmen and will often be asked to teach a beginner’s class. There are very few master class witches and wizards because they often leave the school after advanced classes are completed.

We are at a secret location in rural south Louisiana and are completely off the grid. No electronics are permitted on location, unless they are for life saving purposes. 

Each student will be given a wand or staff, a letter set to keep in contact with the outside world, and a pair of class robes upon entering the school. They are in charge of keeping their robes clean and not breaking their wand, they will not be given a replacement. Upon entering, students will also be assigned a nature, if they don’t already know theirs. They will also be given a roommate at random, which will change every year.

Students may be considered to be admitted upon the age of 16 and may not stay after they have turned 20 years of age.

Along with witchcraft lessons, students will also be taught basic Math, English, and History in their first two years of schooling. 

Most of the magic classes are held outdoors for the safety of the magic users, there are exceptions, such as potions and divination. The basic magic classes are the four Nature classes, familiar study, magical botany, magical control, flight, astronomy, potions, and divination. Students may also have a special class where they focus on powers such as Telekinesis, Pyrokinesis, Transmutation, or Clairvoyance. These students often have one of these powers in their blood line, but not every student can practice these powers.

2. No being rude to people.
3. No controlling other people's characters.
4. No killing or injuring without first checking with the other person. (shouldn't be much of that anyways.)
5. No being whiny through out the rp. It drives me nuts.
6. Literate RP ONLY! No asterisks, also prefer if you RP in 3rd person (use she/he not I/me).
7. Although this is an RP set in a magic world, no crazy stuff, check with me if you're unsure about powers/skills.

Troll example- does a lot of the heavy lifting jobs and custodial tasks along with manitainance

Today was the day, school began and Ana was about to assume her throne once more. And snarky smirk graced her lips as she strutted her way to the dorms. The student had the day to get settled in and by 7pm everyone was to meet in the mess hall for dinner and the welcoming ceremony.


Luna found herself out by the green house. Alone without anyone in sight, she pulled out a joint. Her latest rebellious act and joy has been smoking and she knew that not many people would even care she was doing this of all things.

Madeline blew her bangs out of her eyes, pulling at the skin on her wrist with nails a cross between millennial pink and dusty rose she picked out for the day, specifically. Hummed under her breath, considered the small vintage-green post stamp she got tattooed there over the summer and how she was a vegan now, something she didn't really remember until she realized she couldn't eat something nice for lunch. And she didn't have anything nice for breakfast, either, because she couldn't find smoothie bowls or acai bowls or anything gluten free and low fat so she had to eat a parfait from the cafeteria that wasn't half bad but the dairy still clogged her pores and she was half-sure she was lactose intolerant and she'd claw her eyes out if she had to throw up in the bathroom. She let out a little huff, reaching her dorm. She didn't plan or scheme or formulate as much as she set goals and kept them in mind. This year she had none. Get good grades, some part of her reminded.

Get to the dorm, she thought, check. Fun, great, interesting, she thought, she knew nothing about her roommate. Check.

Dirk was going to put rainbow lights up in his dorm, right, because he'd already thrown up as many conceivable posters as he could fit on the wall and lights made or broke the whole deal. The whole issue was that he was really too lazy to do anything about it, so he was, maybe, a little done.

"I'm done." He said out loud to no one in particular.

Dirk thought it was going to be a pretty good year, he had a stack of red bull cans on the floor and had practiced his keg stand to perfection and he was totally gonna rock this year, anyway. Or whatever. He had a long string of cigarettes since the morning on and off and he had tried to find an excuse to wear his sweatpants with "JUICY" across the butt and his jeans were so skinny they were cutting off his circulation. He hoped his roommate was at least semi cool about how he kept his place and did this things, which meant with little privacy or respect for his roommates space, but like, even if they weren't cool it wasn't like he was going to stop. He wasn't a little bitch.

He held up the lights in one hand and duct tape in the other, started to put them up. Might as well.

"Yeah, I'm fine... No... Un-huh. Well I gotta unpack. Love you too... Mom, give me a few days to adjust before I give a status report."

Call every day, good grief Parent!

"C'mon T. Robot," Oscar called to his familiar who was busy picking around under the bed. Crow T. Robot appeared, something leggy in his beak. Oscar groaned, "Doooon't!"

T. Robot ate it, then promptly choked and spat it back out. He was certainly making himself at home already. Oscar snorted, partially in annoyance, and partially in amusement. But now they had places to be, places that would prolong the inescapebility of meeting a roommate. It would be awkward, as new meetings inevitably were, and if he could somehow avoid it completely, Oscar would.

As he locked the door behind him and pocketed his key, Oscar pondered if there was a conceivable way to avoid the whole thing. Maybe somehow hide after curfew and then sneak back in after they were asleep?

Ug, stupid plan. Ug, people.

The dorms were teaming with new and returning students. T. Robot flew to Oscar's shoulder and looked about with an inquisitive eye. He seemed to enjoy the noise while Oscar shrunk within himself until they reached the outdoors. Oscar trotted across the lawns looking for a hiding spot to be completely alone so he could chill for a while in peace. The greenhouse was right in front of the dorms so he made his way in that direction first.

Feymore walked the halls of the dormitory looking for his room to unpack, when he finally found it Feymore put his duffel bags of close down on the floor. He decided he’d wait for his roommate to arrive to let them choose the bed they want. He walked to the window and saw the other students walking in and wondering around. “I wonder how this is gunna turn out...” just then his familiar appeared out of his staff that was hung on his back. It startled him a bit and had to take a deep breath “don’t scare me like that...”

Alaric set his bag on his bed, then sitting down on it himself to think. He would unpack before dinner, but for now he wanted to get his mind sorted out.
He'd seen some of the other people on his way to the dorm, some he knew, most he didn't. He'd be having a few of his old teachers, too. His roommate, though, he didn't technically know. That being said, he'd heard stories before. Her reputation preceded her. She'd probably be best to avoid if possible, if what he'd heard was true.

Alistair was already hard at work in his classroom, doing the same thing he did at the beginning of every year: Setting up his room. There wasn't much that needed to be done, but he did like to put up a few certain posters fitting to the subject, and he always kept a bookshelf filled on one wall. He'd like to make his students comfortable.
Once he was done, he would think about his introduction. He was known for those. He felt that was a very important part of teaching, and starting the year, and he wanted to make a good first impression on the new students. His introductory speeches were always something people liked to bring up later on. Once he had even copied Snape's speech, from the Harry Potter series. That had been fun.
