“Are you, uh, old enough to… to drink?” the Lady at the bar tried to hold back laughter as the black cat with the faded red scarf glared up at her from where he stood on the stool.
“I’m 27 years old. I was turned into a cat in an unfortunate encounter, and if you touch my ears or nose I will sue you for harassment. I will sue you and this establishment,” he said in a frustrated, but matter-o-fact manner, “Now look, I just want a friggen thimbleful of gin, I’ll provide the thimble.” So saying he reached into the satchel at his side and produced a large thimble.
As if on cue, a trio of ladies at a nearby table all began giggling at him.
Salamander Johnson, a person who met an unfortunate fate, could swear the witch who turned him into a cat had also enchanted his usual poor luck to make it so that he couldn’t enter a tavern without it having a few women to giggle at him and generally harass him.
Men sniggering was easy to deal with, he just put his claws in them or took his little sword to their ankles. But he was brought up to respect women and be considerate towards them. Also unsheathing claws just got them giggling at his “Adowable” paws.
At least so far in his travels he had not met anyone he had known before the transformation. He had enough unfortunate acquaintances who he would prefer not to see him at his all-time lowest low. He had been in a bad way before, but this? This was the humiliating tops.

Rules: Don’t be crude. I’ll allow thing like saying, “So-and-so made a rude gesture.” Or “He cursed profusely” but don’t actually say it. I am just a happier camper that way. Maybe the occasional damn/it. Watch your character’s abilities. I don’t like a blanket statement that they are expert/ really good with all sorts of weapons or that they can do tons of magic all while only being 16 years old. If you’re in your teens, you haven’t lived long enough to master these things let alone one discipline. I’ll allow for something like a genius youngster, but it should still only be one or two things they are really good at, but there are still drawbacks of some sort. Things like faults and imperfections are loved, because then other characters can fill in those gaps, or even the odds in a fight against you if that’s how things go.
I’m a bit of an uptight grouch about the time-space continuum, and I’m sorry in advance if I more or less fry you for breaking this rule. I’ll try not to, but meh, I’m a moody individual these days. Just remember that it takes time to get places and do things. You can’t walk five blocks and then walk back under two seconds, unless you have superspeed, but if you’re also, say, buying something from a NPC(None playable character), I can assure you, they do not have superspeed or speak and exchange money and goods at super speeds. Also, you can’t nap at super speed. You can maybe powernap for ten or fifteen minutes I guess, but really.
Lastly, try not to walk yourself out of the main action area unless you are going to interact with another character, otherwise you’ll just be lonely, and I don’t want you to be lonely. If it’s some sort of necessity I get it like a character being so upset with another that they run off, or if it’s likely that someone’s character will follow you out I’m cool with that. I just hate seeing a person roleplay by themselves, or worse, be unable to rejoin the rest of us.
Magic: I don’t have any particular rules about magic. For me “Mages” are associated with one of the four elements, Fire, Water, Earth, And Air, but I’m open to a mage who can do more than one and/or other elements. I usually group controlling plants(Botany I calls it) as an offshoot of either water or earth magery, as well as ice and metal being an offshoot respectively. Wizards and witches and other things I’ll leave up for people to decide on what the they want them to be. Just remember, first come first to set the class limits.
World: Huh boy I usually use Salamander in my Ocean of Trees land, but want to shake it up a bit. I don’t have much in mind aside from this being a medieval fantasy setting, with a bit of a steampunk vibe, such as automatic crossbows, maybe even flame throwers if there was some particularly inventive person out there. Maybe throw a little Fullmetal Alchemist alchemy in there as part of the magic system. I dunno.
