"It's delicious, and I should probably get home soon, I need a shower and a change of clothes." She said slightly embarrassed realizing she was still in her dress from last night and probably looked like a hobo.

Mari gave him a quick peck on the cheek and went inside. She felt like some teenage girl after her first date. Mari shook her head and jumped in the shower. "What are you doing Mari... he's not even staying here... it's not going to happen." She said a loud to herself in the shower. Suddenly a flash of memory from last night hit her, something he said.. about being human. Again she shook it off.

Over the next week or so, Luca made no attempt to contact her again, which disappointed her although she didn't want to admit it. Every now and then, she would catch herself thinking about him, embarrassed that such little time together could leave such an imprint in her mind. Mari had an internal battle between wanting desperately to try to get ahold of him again, but being too scared to actually go to the mansion again uninvited.
Finally, she resolved that she would do it... Tomorrow night. Tonight she wanted to go back to her spot in the woods, somehow unconcerned about what had creeped her out before (that crazy girl)
(Okay you know that scene in Twilight *yuck* where Edward swoops in and saves Bella cuz he was mad stalking her? That's kinda what I'm going for on her way back from the forest haha 😅)

(Well going into the woods in general is. I got this though, watch and be amazed. Lol Jk)
It had been a few weeks and Mari was loosing hope, but why?, she had to see him one last time and at least ask that... but it was already too late at night to go now. Mari decided she wanted to go out to the field, her depression was gripping a little tightly tonight and needed to take a ride. The sky was clear and the air was warm. Once she reached the entrance to the woods she took off her helmet and set off on foot until she reached the field. She kept walking through the field for what seemed like hours until she reached the edge. Mari looked down the several hundred foot drop. At the bottom of the cliff was the sea of unforgiving waters that seemed to beckon her like the song of a siren (hehe). Mari crumbled to her knees feeling every ounce of pain ever given her, every stone ever thrown, and every person who gave up on her. 'Maybe...maybe I'm just not meant for this world..' she thought to herself as she leaned closer and closer over the edge. "I just need to let go..." she muttered as she closed her eyes and let her body slip.

She had just fallen inches, letting herself go with her eyes still closed before she felt the force of impact, and let it happen.
But, wait...
She hadn't fallen, instead she flew...
Backwards.
What?
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!!" A familiar voice rang in her ears...
(Context, he grabbed her and threw her back behind and she fell on her booty 😝)

Mari had a stunned face with tears streaming down, she looked up to see if the voice was who she thought it was. "H-how?" She said still in shock.

Where Luca was the picture of a perfect gentleman at their last meeting, he now was one of complete rage
"WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!" He yelled at her through bared teeth
His animalistic instincts told him through his anger that his female was in danger, and he needed to 'kill! Kill! KILL!' whoever was behind it. This showed completely through his black holes for eyes, double fangs, and angrily set jaw and eyebrows.
He was right on her now, picking her up effortlessly by her upper arm and pinning her against the tree she was in front of. His whole body shook while he tried to contain his inner beast, having no where to release it into.
After he had calmed down just enough that his literal demons subsided, he leaned close enough that his forehead was an inch away from hers.
"Why are you so foolish?!" He demanded, quieter now, almost a whisper, trying to keep the animal from flaring up again
(Waaaay better than twilight *high fives*)

Mari looked up at him. A crack of thunder rippled through the night as the once clear skies grew dark and clouded. Rain started to fall masking her tears as she clutched his shirt in one hand. "I'm sorry... I just didn't know I mattered to someone..." she said softly, in almost a whisper. "How did you find me?" She asked him after a moment.

He grunted again in frustration but his arms closed tighter around her just slightly "I was just keeping tabs on you, now hush" he said sternly
He continued walking with her, but seemed to arrive at the trail much faster than it had taken her to get there, and then continued walking until eventually they ended up at the mansion again. The next morning, she woke up in the same bed that she had before, with the same picture staring at her

Mari woke up a little disgruntled from last night. She noticed that she was in different clothes other than what she wore last night, they didn't seem to be here but they did seem to be new. "Last night wasn't a dream." She said softly to herself as she laid back in the bed again staring at the ceiling playing the night over again trying to make sense of it all. She tried to jump... she was going to kill herself and he stopped her.

The door opens and Luca is standing there, dressed in his usual suit, with a blank expression on his face, he waves in the person who was standing behind him and a small woman steps in and curtseys to her. She has the same monster features of the pale skin and black hair, but her eyes are bright yellow rather than red, like Matteo's (I swear it's not because they're vegans like twilight lol).
"This is Siena, she is a hand maid I borrowed from a friend. Consider yourself under arrest, you will live here for a week and be monitored by Siena at all times, she will make sure you are well treated during that time but will never leave you."
Siena stands beside her, "are you ready to get dress Signorina?" She said in a very gentle, quiet voice
(Kinda turned beauty and the beast now that I think of it lol)
