She narrows her eyes back at them. Crossing her arms over her chest as she remains in the air.
"Be angry at me all you want. You should be ashamed of yourselves. So easily being put against one another. Is this what you want? To destroy one another and all that you have built? Another war?"
She shakes her head. "There is proof that Lucifer speaks the truth and that his brother betrayed him. Before you decide to kill one another, look to the facts and evidence presented."

"There is proof that Lucifer is our king's brother, not that our king wanted him dead or knew he lived, for it was not so!" argued one. "And as eldest vampire, he is our lord, by all the ancient laws!" Cheering. "Not by all! One may not be king if he has committed treason, as the ex-king -for king he is no longer- has done on three separate occasions! That we know of!" More cheering. "That we've been told, that we guess, with no proof! You choose not to believe our leader, who has ruled us since the war with the angels?" Right when a new fight was about to break out, Rexeth spoke, his voice loud but calm: "People! This is not the time for war. It does not make q difference who you support, for it us already being decided. It is as the Ancient Laws say: The king's rule has been questioned and challenged by one with equal or greater claim to the throne, and they fight in single combat to the death, with two witnesses: By law, I must be one, as must a Chosen of both challenger and defender, provided they choose one. Only Lucifer has. Me and Angelian will bear witness, as the Law says." There was quiet as people thought, considering this. Then a grumbling of consent. "Return to your homes, all of you. Angelian, if you would lead the way."

She listened as people argued what they believed and then to Rexeth. She nods in agreement to his words. "Alright."
She starts to lead the way to the fountain.

"Hey, I don't want this to come out wrong or anything, Angelian, but...." Rexeth glanced at her. "I think maybe you should avoid trying to speak with the crowds, at least for now. You'll only make things worse. I have nothing against you, don't get me wrong, but most people..... Well, to them, it seems like you're just an angel, somebody who killed many of our people.... Our friends and family.... And now you're getting involved with our government. They don't trust you. You're a symbol of the enemy, and you're talking about our politics. Most of us still hate the angels. The war may be over, or restrained, or on a break, or however you look at it -I've heard it all- but there's still a certain enmity between our kinds."

She looks to him and found herself smiling. "I agreed with you. Even when I was a general, I was not good at speaking to crowds. I can direct and give orders and such but the speaking part was never my strong suit. As for the residual anger for my kind...you are not the only one who hated angels. I may still be part angels, but I am part vampire as well. My own kind turned their back on me and seek only to kill me." She shrugs a bit. "The fates have a sense of humor like that."

"True, I'm just saying..... Don't expect most people to understand that. Our hatred runs deep, and all they see in you is angel. Truth be told, even having met you and seeing that you're a good person who was wronged by the angels, I myself have trouble trusting you. Our kinds' war runs through our deepest roots. You sure this is the right place?" They'd reached the hidden door disguised in the mountainside that kept people from the Fountain.

She nods to him. "And I would be lying if I said I trusted any of you." She shrugs a little. "Just how things are. The war did more damage than anything else. "
She nods as she recalls how Lucifer opened the door to the fountain. "Its the right spot."

"Probably requires a Latin chant, correct? Do you recall how he opened it? I know Latin, of course, if you have the Book. Otherwise, you'd better hope you memorized it after hearing it one time."

She nods a bit. "Give me a second. " she mutters and she tried to recall the chant exactly. It took her just a few seconds before she was saying the chant just ad she had heard Lucifer say it.

Rexeth frowned. "You have an eidetic memory or something?" But the door did open and he stepped through. "Remember, we have to follow the Ancient Laws. We're just witnesses. Lucifer has to prove himself by killing the king -permanently- himself."

She shrugs slightly. "My memory is something that has never falted me." As they head inside, she nods at his words. "I understand. I have faith he will win." And she did but she understood reality and not being prepared. If he lost, Rexeth will have to obey the king. She will once more be without anyone and she was prepared to survive.

The brothers' weapons lay strewn across the ground, and the two had resorted to trading punches and trying to choke each other. "Angelian! The Book!" requested Lucifer. Rexeth nodded. "No law against giving him reading material, magic as it may be. Go ahead."

Once Rexeth confirmed she could hand the book to Lucifer, she did exactly that.
Moving as quickly as she could with the book in one hand she reached the fighting pair and gave the book to Lucifer before getting out of the way.

Lucifer slammed the book over his brother's head, receiving a wince from Rexeth due to its weight, and stumbled back, retrieving his sword and putting its blade through his brother's stomach. He opened the book and began to chant, filling the Chalice with one hand and dueling his unarmed brother with the other.

Angelian arches a brow. "Suppose that is one way to use the book." She mutters. Then watches carefully as Lucifer began the chant and was still fighting his brother at the same time.

He finished chanting and kicked his brother hard, knocking him to the ground, and leaned forward to pour the Chalice's contents down his brother's throat, when- -A blur. Lucifer lay on the ground, the Chalice's contents poured down his own throat, and above him stood Zerron. "He'll live," Rexeth assured Angelian quietly. "The target's name was specified multiple times during the spell. It wouldn't work on anyone else." Then the king rose carefully. "Thank you, Zerron, for the assist. You will be rewarded. And now it is time to make sure there are no witnesses." He turned to Rexeth and Angelian.

She tenses sharply as Zerron showed up. She nods slightly when Rexeth told her Lucifer would love.
Yet as the king and Zerron's attention turned to them with very clear intent, she wasn't so at ease.
Drawing her twin daggers once more, anger filled her eyes. "A dishonorable coward." She growled. What she hadn't realized is her anger had triggered something.
A powerful energy coated her skin. It's glow lighting the cave up.

The king was a blur as he escaped the cave, and Zerron tried to follow, only to be tackled by Rexeth. "You need to stop! I don't know what you're doing, Angelian, but you need to stop!"

Angelian's eyes flicker and she glances to the energy on her skin. "That's new...." She shakes her head and moves to Rexeth so she could restrain Zerron. "Go get the king. If I'm seen chasing after him it will make things worse."

"No! Listen to me, Angelian: You have to get Lucifer out of here. His spell won't kill him, but you might. Certain types of magic can kill Originals, and so can holy weapons. And I'll be damned if holy magic can't!"

She froze at his words. Her eyes flicker again and she moves her wings gently as if shaking them. The energy slowly faded from her skin.
She moves to Lucifer and picked him up carefully. She looks to Rexeth. "You will be alright?" She questions.

Rexeth winced as Zerron cut his arm, but continued to fight back. "I don't know, but we have bigger concerns than me! I'm doing my duty and fighting for my king. If I die, I die a proud death, as a hero. There is no better way to go."

She nods stiffly at him. She didn't like leaving him to fight on his own but she knew he was right. She had to get Lucifer out of there.
Moving her wings sharply she took to the air while holding Lucifer and flew him out of the area and to a secure area where she would do all she could to keep him safe until he woke.

Zerron and Rexeth were tearing each other apart, while the king was nowhere to be seen, apparently having disappeared when Angelian's magic started. Meanwhile, Lucifer didn't move, didn't wake, his eyes staying closed. His breathing was slow and weak, his heart barely beating.

She had to do something. Thinking quickly she grabbed the container of blood from his bel and gently lifting his head, she tried to get him to drink. Hoping that the blood would help him. If not she would try her own. She had to save him. Had to.

His blood flask trickled down his throat, but had no visible effect. It would keep him from starvation, but that wasn't the problem.

She growls slightly. The blood wasn't working. She didn't know enough about vampire health to know what she could do. She knew how to kill them that's it, healing wasn't her thing. She bites her lip a little and looks around. The book? Where was the book? It might help.
Then again, she looks to her wrist and then to him. It was still worth a shot. Her blood wasn't normal. She hesitated for only a moment before she cut into her own wrist and held it to his mouth. Letting the liquid drip into his mouth.

(Thanks)
He coughed, sitting up automatically. He broke into a horrible coughing fit, but it eventually ended. "Angel blood," he snarled. "Um- Thanks for waking me, by the way." He coughed a bit again. "It's just.... Holy blood. Not good for my system. I can't imagine how bad it would be if you were a full angel." He coughed again, but it wasn't as bad anymore.
