I was just putting on Pandora for some mood music while I tried to create a new RP when Legend of Zelda music came on, I suddenly saw the character I had in mind to roleplay with in Link's place instead. It was an amusing combination.
So I thought, wouldn't it be fun to do a roleplay of a game/show/etc in which we replaced the main characters with our own, and had them go through the various situations the original characters go through.
I don't know if it would work. But think of something like... say, Legend of Zelda (since I have it on the brain) in which things go off in wild directions. "Saria" can leave the forest as well as Link and comes along on the adventures. "Navi" is some wise-cracking world weary person who would rather just let "Link" run in circles until he figures out where to go on his own.
Or perhaps skyrim since it is a more open game, in which we have a group of dragonborn, and the troubles they have as some try to do things lawfully, while others are more cut-throat, but all must work together.
Thoughts?

It sounds like a great idea. I've replaced my own characters in role-plays I do in my head before, but only short, and never actually legitimate, but just a way to pass the time. I like the Replaced idea and have plenty of characters I would love filling in in different positions. I hope you decide to do it, and if you do, I'll be there in a heartbeat.

If I may put in my input, I always have loved Skyrim- As a matter of fact, it's my favorite video game.
