Hey! I'd like to start a one on one roleplay about an alien girl who falls in love with a human boy. I have a specific female character already thought out, and a basic story outline idea. There will be adventure and all sorts of intergalactic shenanigans. If anyone would like to join me, please let me know!

Sounds interesting. I would join the role play. However do you mean boy and girl or can they actually be older than that? If adults are ok I would already have a person in mind. Not particularly kick ass sort of guy. You might say a bit more on the bookish side and quite common in abilities.

Sorry, I mean young adults. ^^' I love how I forgot to mention that... The girl is about 20, and the guy should be slightly younger than her.

Hmmm....Oooh that's such a stretch. Lol. I have a super hard time playing the 17-19 range accurately. Well if you don't mind a bookish sort of person that might be ok. Usually the nerds are obnoxious in a different way than the rest of the people their age. Not a gaming nerd mind you. The sort of person that is very interested in numbers and analysis. Data oriented. So we could say that my character would likely not be interested in parties unless there was an academic level to it. Otherwise it would really be a waste of time. Pointless societal gathering and crutch for those with inch worm brains. (That could be a summary of the general thought process.)

That sounds great to me! And you can always think of this as a creative exercise. Would you like me to go ahead and create a thread, then?

Yes that would be nice. Anything would be great for creative exercise. It's feeling rather stunted under all my studies of war and foreign government along with the security aspect and then the papers. History is about as creative as my life currently gets other than the site here.

Haha, makes sense. I've been super stressed out because finals are coming up... multivariable calculus isn't nearly as fun as I expected it to be. D: I'll go ahead and make the thread!

Eh, no reason to stress about finals. I personally like them. If you have done well all semester and you've done all your homework and studied throughout the semester you'll be fine. Last minute cramming never did do much for grades. It the consistent work during the course of the spring that will save your rear end at the end. Will say that multivariable calculus sounds horrible. Only math I have to take is introduction to statistics. Rest of my degree is basically going to be writing and analyzing stuff to death. Writing is pretty much all I do besides research.

theroleplays.proboards.com/thread/8926/intrigue-aurelia-silenceSorry this took me so long! I got a bit carried away, haha. ^^' I have test anxiety, so finals are always a stressful time for me. I'm doing just fine in most of my classes, so I'm not worried about them. However, even though I've been studying consistently all semester, I have been struggling in my calculus class. Honestly, I'm just hoping I pass. My academic ego has really been destroyed by this first year in college...

Oooh. See I had horrible grades in high-school. Mostly cause I didn't read any of my text books. I just filled out all my tests in high-school and got a passing grade. That was all I cared about. Only books I read were science and math.
So when I got to college and actually tried to get good grades I did very well. Almost have a 4.0 and over 60 credits. It can be done. A different kind of studying is all. You'll get a hang of it.

That's pretty awesome, actually. I was one of the best students at my high school, and going to a top university has done wonders to pop that delicate balloon that was my self-esteem. XD I think I'll figure things out by next semester, though.

Not quite awesome when you're closer to 30 than 20 and just now realizing that had you worked in high-school to get good grades and nice SAT score that scholarships would have been easier to come by. Lol. Instead I went into the work force for a while and discovered that college is a helpful thing to have if you want to get a job that will cover the bills and offer a bit of financial stability.

Honestly, I think it's pretty amazing that you're putting yourself through school. I'm still dependent on my parents, and I don't think I'd be able to handle college and a job at the same time. If you don't mind me asking, what are you studying?

Computer science! :3 I really enjoy it, too~
By the way, I'm working on a cs project for my final right now, so I apologize that my responses aren't quite as long as yours. My brain is starting to die off on me a little bit, and I'm using this roleplay as a way to fight fatigue, lol.
