I dance in the sky.
I am a girl of fire.
My dress shines in the sky,
And I am seen far and wide.
I am a sitting star,
A blaze of fire.
I love to dance about
And show off my moves.
The days are long,
The nights are short.
The moon is my brother,
A little piece of me.
I help him shine.
Though at certain times I fail,
And every now and then
We give each other a hug.
I love the songs you sing me
And the dances you perform.
I can travel the world in one day.
Some days are dark
And dark fog like clouds
Cover the day,
And those clouds really do
Make you miss the warmth
I bring.
I once was asked
Who I was
And I laughed.
For this is what I said,
“Who am I? you say,
I am the bright yellow ball,
The girl on fire,
The warmth you feel,
I AM THE SUN!
