Story of the Song:

Betrayal of Tears is about a young woman who fell in love with a man, and they stayed together for 15 years before she found out everything that the man had ever told her was a lie. She issued a divorce and soon after the divorce was made official, the man broke into the woman's new house at night while the woman was sleeping and covered the bed in oil before lighting the oil on fire and burning her alive. Of course, the woman woke up when he started the fire, but it was too late, and the man sat there watching her as she burned alive, telling her to go to hell. But right before the woman died, she thought she saw the man cry, thus leading up to the last stanza.
