I have a couple of questions. Firstly, is bumping acceptable? I've been on sites where bumping is considered rude, so I just want to know.
Secondly, if one is the original poster of a roleplay, is it acceptable to assume something of a 'game/dungeon master' role as well as a roleplayer?
And thirdly, is there a recommended limit as to how many roleplays one can/should be part of?
Thanks in advance.

First - Bumping is fine. Just make sure you give your fellow rp-ers a chance to reply ie a few days before you bump.
Second - What do you mean by game master?
Third - no limit. As many as you can handle. Bookmarking makes keeping track much easier. I myself am currently in over 30 roleplays (Though only 22 could be considered 'active' right now).

All righty, thanks! And by game master I mean someone who controls NPCs, provides a degree of plot, and generally calls the shots where there's conflict between players. Sorry, coming from an RPG background I assumed everyone knows what a GM/DM is and does.

I had a feeling that's what you meant but I wanted to be sure. Here, Anyone can control npcs. Do what you need to to get the plot moving. If they are important npcs (Such as alphas in a wolf rp) generally you control them but it is open to anyone who needs them.
Yes, you usually control the plot, though some rps get so off track and involved in something completely unrelated to the original idea, you'll share this job with other posters.
Conflicts OOC are the admin's job to handle. Try not to get yourself involved in their fight.
