Since really we're not suppose to turn and RP thread into a chat thread... This thread is for sgjetfire30, Gavitron, and myself. We are discussing how to continue this RP where some people have dropped out and things have ground to a halt. theroleplays.proboards.com/thread/8883/legion-heroesIf in our chatting you find you are interested in joining us, please speak up and add your own thoughts. ~*------------------------------------------~*~ Alright, so videogames and PC games aside, what do we want to do for Legion of Heroes? Do we want to start over but cut down the interviewing process, perhaps put the known info of the Leaders of the New World up already, like put it as info everyone is already privy to or have access to? Or my other idea was that we put this into the future where Legion members and Leaders have died in a recent battle and our three are recuperating in a safehouse and planning their next attack. Or we put things into action quickly and start with the battle which has been raging for a while and some members are dead or dying while ours fight the Leaders. Edit: Wierdly enough I'm liking the idea of a highschool parody more and more. Perhaps something we could do just for the heck of it once we've done the original RP.

I think it would be best to have characters who replace the people who've left, and for the highschool roleplay thing, I'll do that whenever you're ready, (In another thread) as long as we still have powers, because I personally find normal highschool animes boring.

because I personally find normal highschool animes boring. I think I love you. I personally hate highschool RPs, even gifted ones, but I think if we play with the characters we have developed in a more serious RP, then the highschool one won't be played seriously and I can actually enjoy it, because people generally tend to take HS RPs way more seriously than they should. I could write a book on the pain I have gone through with those RPs. It doesn't even have to be a highschool. Could be office workers, or a wild west scenario. And of course they would still have their powers. How else do we explain the two robots?

How else do we explain the two robots? 1) That escalated quickly XD 2) I KNOW, RIGHT?!?! IT'S OBNOXIOUS!!! 3) That's a good point... 4) I wanted to make a fourth point. 5) Have you seen Highschool DXD?? I saw the first episode and noped out. Is it worth forging through the pervy-ness?? Does the story get better, or is it just basically porn??

It's decided. I'll get to work on the high school Legion vs Leaders thread. Should appear in Gifted soon. Or is Miscellaneous better? Gifted, right....?

Maybe you should make it.... Id like to do this, but I don't know what to write in the description.... Besides, it was your idea.

This is quick as it's late right now, so I'm not at full capacity. So feel free to be totally brutal about how badly it needs to be fixed, and where.
As a quick note, Queen seems a bit redundant when Emily is already a controller of minds. True, Queen only controls the minds of men, but it seems like one two many mind manipulators. Your thoughts?
------------------------------~*~
Marvel High, a place of harmony where super-powered teens(or genius youngsters), or otherwise gifted teens come to learn and flourish.
That is, until the “Leaders of the New Curriculum” arrived. Started a year ago by an upstart sophomore named Nuke, now a Junior, the Leaders turned the school upside-down when they went for a power grab after the last of the S.H.I.E.L.D. club members graduated. S.H.I.E.L.D. had been a club founded by students to protect those with no one else to defend them. They ran the school, seeing to it that bullying, delinquency, and rule breaking were stamped out. Now that they are gone chaos is descending.
Nuke is allied with other like-minded individuals. By his side stands “Brainwave” Emily Masters, a girl with the power to control all aspects of the mind, the Sorcerer, a boy skilled in magic, and the “Queen”, the most popular girl in school with the ability to make all boys fall in love with her and do her will.
But not all is lost, One Chase Masters has begun to seek out allies among the students who will stand up to the leaders and take back the school from them. Calling themselves the Legion of Star Pupils (I'm kidding, I'm kidding.)
--calling themselves the Legion of Heroes, these individuals hope to work together for the benefit of the school and be a beacon of hope to the other students still under the sway of Nuke and his gang.
~*~----
Of course I would also add afterwards the rules and so on. Should I use "The Grand Ball" rules where you cannot hurt random bystanders if you are fighting with someone specific, and broken furniture and windows magically reform themselves? I want to grant as much freedom with powers as possible to the point of ridiculousness, but not have students burning the whole school down or ikilling dozens of students who were just caught in the crossfire.
Also, not sure what to do about teachers, or if we even want to attempt bringing them in and would rather they are just the typical faceless NPCs.
Unless Nuke is a teacher and not a student. The tyrannical teachers of the new world vs the student heroes?

Wow. That actually sounds really cool! Good job, Hiroku! I'd just like to throw in my two cents here, so... 1) I think that in fights, you shouldn't really try to break anything, but if you do, we could say that there are janitors with the power to restore stuff. 2) wait, why would we be killing random students?? Seems kind of pointless... 3) I think that teachers should be mostly faceless, but we should give them names and maaaaaaybe at least imply their powers in case they become importantto the story. 4) I think it would work out best if the Leaders are students, too.

The Leaders should be students. I like the janitor idea- There can be random casualties, but the teachers help prevent deaths (They would be bad for business). As for teachers: Most remain nameless, but some important ones shall be made and played as.

((Alright, advice and suggestions noted, and with a bit of fixing up and rules and profile list done, what do you think? (And if I don't reply after you guys, send me a PM reminding me that I was up past the time my meds kicked in(Again) because I might not remember that I even got this done when tomorrow comes.)) Marvel High, a place of harmony where super-powered, magical, or otherwise gifted teens come to learn and flourish. That is, until the “Leaders of the New Curriculum” arrived. Started a year ago by an upstart Junior named Nuke, now a Senior, the Leaders turned the school upside down when they went for a power grab after the last of the S.H.I.E.L.D. club members graduated. S.H.I.E.L.D. had been a club founded by students to protect those with no one else to defend them. They ran the school, seeing to it that bullying, delinquency, and rule breaking were stamped out. By his side stands “Brainwave” Emily Masters, a girl with the power to control all aspects of the mind, the Sorcerer, a boy skilled in magic, and the “Queen”, the most popular girl in school with the ability to make all boys fall in love with her and do her will. Their alliance has the potential to create even further chaos with the arrival of exchange student ABBY, a self aware Artificial Intelligence from Aperture Preparatory School for Young Ladies. Although a star pupil at her school, she had a certain penchant for making life miserable for her fellow classmates. But not all is lost, One Chase Masters has begun to seek out allies among the students, those who will stand up to the leaders and take back the school from them. Calling themselves the Heroes club, these individuals hope to work together for the benefit of the school and be a beacon of hope to the other students still under the sway of Nuke and his gang. ~*~ This is a parody on “Legion of Heroes, found here: theroleplays.proboards.com/thread/8883/legion-heroes?page=1As such this is meant to be light and funny. Rules are standard but a little leeway may be given in certain situations so long as permission is asked and granted(After all, we got how many gifted teenagers in one school?). Although I am the topic master I will discuss the situation with Gravit, since he created the original roleplay, and Jet since he is also a veteran of the previous roleplay. That way I won't stonewall everyone and make the roleplay too constricting. Powers may destroy school property when being used, for there are gifted janitors who can quickly fix craters and burst pipes with a flick of the wrist or a high-speed mop up. Due to spells in place for protection students can't be killed on school grounds. Though one can still be hurt enough to need to go to the school nurse. Outside the grounds, and in the town below you may find certain establishments have hired a spellmaster to place a protection spell around their store/bank/bar, or in the case of the more paranoid folk, their home. Teachers are largely faceless NPCs that we will only use as the roleplay dictates. Unless of course you end up creating a teacher you like who becomes his own character and more involved. No harm in that. Name: Nicknames: Age: Year: Freshmorejunsen? Abilities: Alliance: Leaders/Heroes? Undecided Personality: History: Other:

Okay. I couldn't think of any better names, so these are what we have. I also thought of calling them the Leader's Clique, but that didn't sound quite as intimidating and power grabbing as the other. If there's anything that needs a final tweak let me know and in a couple days I'll get it up on the boards.

I think it looks about good. Can't think of a better name, either, but it doesn't matter, as this RP shouldn't be taken terribly seriously, so it oughta be fine.
P.S. Lane, for the love of God, don't treat a highschool RP like an epic adventure.

I think it's still best, though, if we don't just give up on the original RP. I think I'll just continue as best I can by setting up the interview in Leaders of the New World, leading into a battle. Then we can kill off anyone who can't continue. Just before the battle starts, I'll message everyone who joined to see who I have to get rid of. Any objections?

It's likely that the roleplay is now in the archives, in which case you will have to start a new RP, but you could always link back to the previous one as a reference.

In future though a board can be kept alive with a bump every couple weeks, though Brenda might not appreciate it if it goes on for too long without proper posts.
