Freya had just started her cooking when the doorbell rang. She called out, "Kyosuke, could you please get that..?"

Kyosuke hurried to get the door, where the sound of friendly family greetings were heard. Yusuke came sauntering into the kitchen, his parents heading for the living room. He grinned. "Hey you~"

Freya looked up with a smile and went over to Yusuke to give him a hug. "Hi~ It's been way too long, huh?"
In the other room, Kyosuke's father sat on the couch and looked up at Kyosuke, seeming highly unimpressed with his son.

Yusuke nodded, leaning against the counter. "Yeah, it has... Figured I'd hang out in here while Kyosuke deals with the parents. If that's okay with you."
Kyosuke smiled nervously. "So... Hiw have you been, dad?"

She nodded quickly. "That's just fine... I'm hiding, too. Did they say anything on the way over...?"
"Well, thank you," Mr. Harima replied stiffly. "Your mother tells me that you've been.... busy. I wish I could've heard from you, though."

Yusuke shook his head. "My parents were oddly... Silent. It's a little scary."
Kyosuke nodded quickly. "I know, and I'm sorry you didnt get to hear it from me. I should have told you sooner, but I've been so worried about people finding out about things."

"Because she's underage? Because you were her teacher?" he demanded. "I thought we raised you better than this!"

She nodded and shifted uncomfortably as she continued to cook. "I wish they wouldn't be mad at him, though.... it's not like I had no part in this decision...."
"Doesn't that just make it worse?" he snapped. "What would her parents have thought?"

She finished everything and sat down at the kitchen table to wait for the food to cook. "I hope so..."
"Oh, and probably the worst of all... why the hell haven't you at least asked her to marry you yet? You're gonna do right by her, won't you?"
