The rest of the night would be quiet. Mako would come into her room early the next morning, setting a tray of food down and shaking her gently. "Shino...? I brought you breakfast."

He nods. He was dressed in a night time kimono, his long hair down and on the floor as he sat beside her. "I made it for you."

She watched him go, then looked down at the delicious meal he had prepared for her. How had she been so fortunate? What happened here? Why her? She shook her head and started to eat slowly, relishing each bite.
