Shino looked down at herself and blushed in excitement. The texture and color of the rich fabric made her feel just like a real princess, and nobody could convince her that she wasn't one at that moment.

The rest of Shino's family was there, waiting for her, looking cleaner and more presentable than any of them had in a long time. Solemnly, Shino led them out to Mako's home in the woods.

Mako had decorated it excitedly with paper lanterns and origami, and he had also gotten a monk to marry them as well. He was dressed in grand wedding robes, his hair still tied back.

The ceremony was a blur to Shino. She was so overwhelmed by everything that it seemed it was over just as soon as it had begun, and soon her family had left to go back to the farm, the monk had left to go back to his shrine, and she was left alone with her new husband.
