Okiku grinned at them from the stove "good morning! I thought I would make some Katsudon for everyone, as celebration of the new heir" she said excitedly

Oeyo stared at her blankly, though she tried to be kind since the girl would soon be gone anyways. "How thoughtful of you."

She didn't reply to that, instead telling them "it is almost ready if you want to sit"

"It isn't the worst I have tasted, but the alterations you made to the recipes do not make sense and stray from the traditional preparation of the food. On top of all of that, those recipes were handed down to me from generations of smart women who loved cooking in my family. They knew what they were doing, and to have someone so young and naive come in and ruin them, well... I am willing to bet that they are rolling in their graves right now."
