"We're you expecting dungeons and dragons and moats?" Raven said with a laugh (how many Twilight references can I make? xD)

Inside the room people were dancing and drinking, many people were flirting around the sides, Mari could spot a few vampires making efforts to seduce humans and lead them out into a more private area

"Okay Luca, go feed and I'll watch her for the time being, you need it more than me." Raven said

"I'm really okay..." He said, though his eyes said he to really want to go

"Go on ahead, I need to find the ladies room myself." Mari said wanting to freshen up a bit. So many beautiful women around here and Mari felt obsolete in comparison. (When she comes out of the bathroom shits going down.)

When she came back, Raven was standing off to the side and she couldn't find Luca at first (he's in the same area though just there's a crowd)

Mari searched around looking for Luca. She spotted Raven but Luca wasn't their. Mari then followed ravens eyes to see where she was looking

Past the huge crowd, Luca was sitting at a table next to, and almost too close to, a commoner woman, speaking to her quietly in Italian

Mari frowned a little. "He's just talking to her, I shouldn't jump to assumptions." She said to herself.

"Luca's always had an interesting way of seducing" Raven said from right behind her "and he always does the same thing every time."

"Seducing?" Mari was perplexed by what Raven was telling her

"Yeah, you lure them into another room and, you know... Vampire stuff" she said with a grin "Lucas much more gentleman like than most though"

"Why do you have to seduce them? Can't you just ask to feed off of them?" She asked feeling like a knife was being twisted in her chest as she watched him trying to seduce that girl.

"Yes let's just walk up to these humans and tell them we're murderous creatures and would like to kill them that would go over well" she said with a laugh "Luca won't actually have sex with her, just lure her off so she'll pass out somewhere not knowing what happened."

From across the room, Mari saw Luca flash a million dollar smile while the girl giggled at whatever he had said, her cheeks blushing pink.

"There's a whole fan base of vampires. Have you not seen Queen of the Damned? Just minus the killing part." Mari said trying to distract from the jealous boiling inside of her.

Raven laughed "I actually haven't, is it good?"

Then, Luca leaned in closer to the girl and whispered something into her ear, his eyes flashing black for a moment, whatever he said made the color in her cheeks deepen

"He's saying it's too crowded in here." Raven filled her in, helpful as ever

"It's a masterpiece. The actress died in a plan crash on her way home after the film was done being filmed." Mari crossed her arms. "Why can't he just feed off of me?... it's not like I'd tell him no." She muttered

"You wouldn't be enough on your own, neither is bagged blood although it does help, he usually feeds off of the humans at the club." Raven said, feeling her tension she added "it's not the same as normal flirting, he's hunting for a meal, his heart is only for you and you have the mark to show it..." She said

"But... *sigh*... you're right... I'm sorry... I'm just not used to this... I'm going to go get a drink..." she said defeated knowing she couldn't do anything now.

On her way, she saw Luca and the girl walking towards a back door, arm in arm. She was staring at his face absolutely mesmerized, unsurprisingly.
Then, Lucas wondering eyes hit Mari's for a split second, his expression saying he knew she was worried

Mari turned away and turned to the bar. "Whiskey and coke, make it strong." She said to the bartender.
"Here you are." He said
Mari tossed back the drink quickly and got another one. Before she could get more than a sip in some knocked the glass out of her hand. The glass shattered on the ground and Mari bent down to pick up the broken pieces.

Being the klutz that she is, Mari cut her hand and the scent of her blood filled the room. The person who bumped into her turned and crouched by her. "You smell really good." She smirked.

"A-ahhhh" Anabell's voice sounded behind her, "she's brand new so she still has some human blood" she tried to lie, grabbing Mari's arm fast, trying to hide her blackened eyes at the scent

The golden eyed girl laughed. "You may be royal, but I'm not stupid. That was pure human blood, some really good smelling shit too, but if she's yours, then hey I'll back off."

Mari tore part of the bottom hem of her dress to wrap her hand. "Perhaps I should leave..." she said softly

Another hand grasped her shoulder firmly, dragging her around to another door before shoving her through it into a very dark room, "I do not think you're supposed to be here, Signorina" a female voice she didn't recognize echoed off of the walls. The woman grabbed her injured arm and tied the dress hem more properly around it, before dragging her down the hallway. All Mari could see in her face was the glowing of her yellow eyes

"Wh-who are you?" Mari asked as the woman led her down a hallway.

"It should not make a difference" she answered in a thick accent "this way," she pulled her down a branch off of the hall

"Well you're dragging me around so I should probably know who you are and where you're taking me." Mari said a bit more demanding

Still ignoring her, she stopped before another door "stay here, signorina, I will get my medicine supplies" (which would be weird for a vampire to own... Ya get? XD)

After she had left, Mari heard a vampire growl that seemed to come from some other room and, while you wouldn't think that sort of sound could be recognizable, she knew exactly who it had came from

"Luca...." his growl was unmistakable, Mari could feel her heart drop knowing he was feeding on that girl. "I thought I was yours.." she said softly to herself as she sat and waited for the strange woman to return.

Another growl sounded much closer, seeming to be more powerful this time, while quiet words were said from just behind the door "sh-she's in there..." The woman who had left her there said

Mari looked toward the door where the woman's voice came from.

Raven swung open the door "we have to go, your blood is stinking up the entire ball room, some vampires are going ballistic." She said, grabbing her hurt arm and pulling her into a hallway "Luca's going to have a fit when he finds out and his dinner will be cut short." She said with a sigh

A faint moaning sound came from one of the doors to their left before being cut off by another hissing growl that wasn't Luca's this time (gross xD)

Mari nodded with a look of dismay. "I'm sorry. It was an accident... I was just trying to pick up the glass." She explained as she followed Raven, jumping at the growl coming from another room.
