Anabelle shrugged "it's not hard but people don't really care about us puny people so I guess no ones thought about it." Her eyes lit up then "what is it LIKE being human??" She asked

"Boring. We are pretty frail and clumsy compared to you. Every day we live knowing it might be our last. Most people because so frantic of their fleeting life that they consume themselves with greed, envy, and addictions to try and make life seem slightly more bearable knowing there isn't enough time to live. Everyone is to busy trying to be the same that they fade onto nothingness. Not me... I was going to erase myself because I was tired of swimming upstream in this raging river of society." Mari rambled. "And then Luca stepped into my life."

Her eyes widened "woah, that must be so cool to not have such a droning, forever life." She beamed "to actually live..."
There was a knock on the door then "signorina?" Sienna's voice came through the door
"Come in!" Anabelle answered for her, flopping down on Luca's bed "can I see your mark??" She asked Mari with a hopeful voice

"I don't mind." Mari said pulling back her hair and revealing the mark on her neck. Her cheeks turning a soft pink with bashfulness

"Woah! That's so cool!" She said, sounding like a little girl talking to a big kid "hopefully I'll get one soon..." She said shyly as Sienna appeared an outfit for the day and contacts for Mari to wear

Anabelle continued staring at her, for some reason awed by her human-ness "I wonder if mine will be human too..."
Sienna interrupted her "Signor Luca plans on taking you around the town today, he is waiting downstairs for you"

Mari walked out in a sleek salmon colored dress, black heels,and her hair tied back. She smiled at Luca with ever enduring eyes.

He smiled and, after she finished her breakfast he took her out to walk around the town, the many shops with bustling people chattering away in a language she couldn't understand. The common folk who dressed much less elegant than what Sienna had given her to wear, and even more common looking next to her devilish handsome vampire who's arm she held onto, made her stick out much more than she felt comfortable.
Luca took her into a few shops, the first looked like a grocery market from history books, crowded with old fashioned stands where vendors offered samples. The next shop was a small bakery where he bought her a sweet pastry to try. Then was a jewelry store where he let her choose any piece she wanted, insisting she not look at any prices. She noticed his presence seemed to put everyone on edge, though everyone was still polite when talking to him.
"Raven always loved this area, I think she would have preferred the peasants to our houses" Luca told her while they past some old tavern-like building where people were dancing in a circle and laughing, singing some song that she couldn't understand. They wore raggedy clothes and Mari guessed they were the peasants he meant. (I don't really have anything else until we get back to America lol)

Mari turned to Luca. "I'm over dressed today aren't I?" She frowned.

He grinned "you're classified as a Moretti now, I don't think you could ever over dress"
After a long day of exploring and learning some Italian history, along with some backstory about Luca himself, they were about to head back home before Raven ran into them "hey they're doing a blood ball tonight!" She said excitedly before looking at his eyes "and you look like you really need to attend. Mari can come too, but it's starting soon!"
"Ehh..." Luca seemed hesitant, as always

"Your eyes are really dark, you can't live off of bagged blood forever, Luca." Raven responded (oh yeah I forgot to make it known his eyes were getting darker as time went by)

When they reached the area, the place was even more crowded than before, and now Mari could see many humans mixed into the bunch, though where she had imagined a bloodbath everything seemed relatively civil
