Matthew chanted faster, building confidence, and soon, Alistair's ghostly image dissipated. At the same time, the mage fell to his knees.

Sapphire eyes widen as his form disappeared and the mage fell to his knees. Her eyes flicker a bit and she looks around then back to the mage then to Matthew.

"What the hell?" asked Matthew. "I did the spell, and sent my father back to his body. The mage should be having no effect."
"You think you're the only one who can do spellwork?" asked the mage, standing. Something about the way he acted, the way he moved and talked, was different. "Easy, you two. Stand down a minute. Yes, after so long -six centuries, was it?- I was summoned, with one of my own Mystic Artifacts, in a plan to resurrect me. It seems my legacy truly does proceed me. But I am rambling. Long story short, I saw the opportunity and took it. First Mage Shalidor, Apprentice of Lucifer himself, in the flesh -well, someone else's flesh- at your service."

Sapphire's eyes widen as the mage stood back up and revealed that he was in fact no longer the same mage. After all this time, to have the first return, this could be very bad or very good. She was on guard though and not very trusting. She remember the male back in the day, they hadnt always saw eye to eye on things.

Shalidor noticed Sapphire and smiled slightly. "Ah, if it isn't the Guardian. Been a while. You haven't forgotten me, have you?" He smirked. "By Lucifer, I feel so uncomfortable in this suit. I should get back to my old body, restore it and- Well, feel myself again, if you don't mind. Maybe we could meet up again later. It would appear we have a lot of catching up to do."
In a flash of light (him being the dramatic sort), he was gone.

Forgotten him? She still dreamed if burning the male alive. She snorts at him and shakes her head at the male. Then watches carefully as he disappeared from sight. He hasn't changed at all.
Sapphire sighs and rubs her temples. "Of all those to be brought back...he had to come back." She grumbles.

"You.... Know each other?" asked Matthew carefully, sensing the tension. "I didn't get the feeling Shalidor got around much, spending most of his time learning magic in Hell from Satan himself."

She shakes her head a little. "Not very well but enough. We've crossed paths before a few times and it seemed to always be with him being annoying some how. " she shrugs. "You'll know what I mean if you visit with him long enough. Just don't drop your guard. " she nods.

She nods a bit to him. "I can shift." She says and manages to do so. She shakes her head a bit after she shifted then nods to him as she lowers her body so he could climb on. She was nervous about seeing his father again.

She took to the sky and moved as fast and as safely as she could towards where she knew his father was. Once there she landed carefully. Her eyes looking around hesitantly.

"Look," said Matthew, leading the way to the grave where Alistair had been buried. "The coffin's empty. It looks like he made it out."
"It looks like it," said Alistair, standing nearby and watching them, a smile on his face. "Good job, son. I'm proud of you." He turned his attention away from Matthew. "Ah, and Sapphire.... I've missed you. The afterlife for Supernatural.... You can't imagine."

Sapphire eyes widen as she gazed at Alistair. She wanted to go to him instantly but she stayed put. After Mathew had gotten down , she shifted to her human form. As soon as she did she felt her legs want to buckle but she kept standing, kept herself strong. "I'm so....glad you are back."

"Oh.... Wow." Most of this didn't seem to bother Alistair much, but he seemed concerned about hearing that Shalidor was awoken. "Shalidor.... First and most powerful mage, who learned his talents directly from the devil and passed them onto all modern mages. That's bad news. I promise you, nothing good will come from his return, and we haven't heard the last of him.... And you let him go? To get his original body? In another body, he's limited, uncomfortable.... In his own, he is unimaginable. But of course, you already knew that."

Sapphire shrugs slightly. "He is annoying to say the least. His body though, it will taken him a little time at least to get to it. Last I recall it had been placed under watch by a guard and also magic said to be stronger but I doubt that part. " she nods, "we should get you back, both of you."

"Using magic against Shalidor.... That is the worst idea I've ever heard. He knows how to shape it to his advantage, he is the original sorcerer. And that guard will be dead as soon as Shalidor wants him to be, I promise you. But there's nothing we can do about it now. And me and my son have work to do."
"Agreed," nodded Matthew. "The world still needs us."

She shrugs slightly. "I was not left in charge of his body. I told them just as you said but they didn't listen." She nods and shifts to her dragon form.
Her eyes look to them as she lowers herself down. "Climb on, let's get going."

"To be fair," pointed out Alistair as the two climbed on. "It was not expected that anybody would be both powerful enough to get his hands on and use a Mystic Artifact and foolish enough to raise Shalidor. I'm not sure what that mage expected Shalidor to give him, but I've never heard him to be a grateful person. The legends describe him as a person who would just take the mage as a servant, and kill him if he refused."

Once they were on her back, she gently took to the sky. "Yes, he wasn't ever very happy when someone refused him. " she flew carefully and steadily. She managed to make it back to their destination without issues.
Carefully landing. Once she had, she laid down so they could climb down.

"We really need to get the planes working," Matthew told his father.
"I'm already on it," agreed Alistair. "They should be finished within the month, unless there were any setbacks while I was.... Gone. Excuse me, you two can return to your quarters or where ever you'd like. I need to clear up some things about my official and legal resurrection- Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork. And I need to show myself on television for the people, to prove I'm back- Perhaps with my son, the new prince."

Sapphire snorts slightly. "Don't like my flying?" She teased. Then moving carefully she shifted back to her human body. Looking to the pair she nods. " It will be great for the people to see you both." She nods then turns to leave, heading to her room.

He went on to go train as he waited for his father to call on him.
Soon, Alistair did ask for him to come, and the TVs all came on to an urgent news report, showing the pair standing on screen.

Sapphire had nodded and gone into her room. Once inside, she got cleaned up and into fresh clothes. Her body ached but she ignored it as she sat in the chair by the window. Her eyes on the sky as she sat there.
After a moment she turned her head to the tv and turned it on. She watched as both father and son appeared before the cameras.
